Staff were very accomodating and service was excellent. Very glad to get in on short notice. Half chicken dinner very dussapointing.however. Overcooked in a big way, dry and over-salted. Wanted to "just try something different", and bad idea. Will stick to the Portk Chpp in the future as a regular for the pork chop as best EVER around. All others in party very much enjoyed their meal -lasagna- as always excellent as well. All will return of course, just not for chicken!

Cute Italian spot. A little pricey, like everything in Idyllwild. We got a pizza and pasta which were both good. We sat outside on the back patio which is very cute. It was a bit chilly even with the heaters on.

Dining at Ferro is an experience that’s hard to match in Idyllwild. From the moment we walked in, Spirros, our server, set the tone for a fantastic evening. His warmth, personality, and extensive knowledge of the menu added so much to our meal. Spirros really knows the dishes inside and out, and his recommendations were spot on. The food is truly Michelin-level—each dish beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. From appetizers to dessert, every bite was an experience to savor. It’s clear that owner Frank has created something extraordinary here. Ferro is a gem in this town, and it deserves all the recognition for bringing this level of culinary excellence to the area. Highly recommended….

Went out of the way and booked a reservation for 2 at the lounge section to celebrate an anniversary. There are no descriptions or pictures of what the lounge would look like. Arrived 10 minutes early and was seated appropriately. The lounge turned out to be right next to the bar so it was extremely loud the entire time. The beginning seemed promising. However our waitress had forgotten about us. The busser was more attentive. We ordered a Cacio e Pepe and a Carbonara. My boyfriend really enjoyed the Cacio e Pepe however the Carbonara was extremely salty I was unable to finish it. We wanted to try their desserts to end the night on a better note but our waitress never came around after 30 minutes. The busser was able to take note that we wanted dessert and to alert our waitress but yet again nothing came about it. We ended up asking for the check in frustration and the busser overly apologized. The busser should not be the one bringing over your check. I would not come back to this establishment. This place was nothing special.

Excellent food and service in a lovely house-like setting. The branzino and chocolate torte dessert were both delicious! Highly recommend this gem in Idyllwild!
