Located in one of Victoria's oldest buildings, Ferris' Upstairs Seafood And Oyster Bar presents deeply coloured wooden floors and rich brick walls accented by candlelight.

Featuring the best in fresh seafood from our local waters, and premium steaks from Alberta. It's a great place to lounge and enjoy what Vancouver Island has to offer. Small plates and large, our menu changes weekly based on the best in available produce and season.

We boast an extensive wine list from Europe, California and Canada. Six rotating craft beers on tap and carefully curated cocktails featuring local spirits and house made ingredients.

Seafood, meat, vegetarian and vegan options available. Kids welcome.

The food, staff and ambiance was very good. The first impression walking up the stairs to its second level revealed that downstairs restrooms were underneath the stairway and the stench was sewer-like.

Delicious and interesting food. Not one disappointment. $23 for three sauced baked oysters seemed a lot but our party thought it was tasty.

As Prairie dwellers visiting the coast I must say this was an amazing experience - The staff answered all our questions patiently and made appropriate suggestions, the atmosphere is great and the food delicious.

Bacon wrapped dates and chorizo puffs were delicious. Crispy polenta with charred veggies was my standout! Very generous portion and fantastic flavors. I wouldn’t do the baked oyster trio again and halibut was on the tougher side.

Excellent and delicious - especially fun to try the appies during Happy Hour!! I should begin by saying that we don't eat pork, beef, or lamb -- mainly fish and some fowl. So we love Ferris Upstairs and come here every year during our long visit. This being primarily a seafood restaurant, it was a terrible shock to discover that the '"nduja vinaigrette" (never heard that word but a vinaigrette should be ok, right?) that the Grilled Octopus was dressed with actually contained Chorizo!! Ugh!! I really felt awful when i found that out half way thru our meal! A description of the sauce and or its ingredients should have been on the menu!

So much to say. This is a solid option if you fancy a seafood meal. The steamed mussels and clams were very tasty and they even have fried smelts which are delicious. Seafood aside, we had two vegetable dishes that were both superb; a beet dish and a roasted cauliflower dish. The service is excellent and the room is lovely in an old building with original features. Go!
