We started Fatto a Mano in Brighton in 2015, serving authentic and affordable Neapolitan pizza, made with fresh ingredients, in a friendly environment. For us, everything starts with our dough. Soft and pillowy, our pizza dough is made fresh every day, using only the best Italian 00 flour, salt, water and yeast. We let our dough prove for at least 24 hours – the slow proving means we’re able to use minimal quantities of yeast, so our pizzas are light and easily digestible. We use carefully selected Italian and local British ingredients from a handful of small, independent suppliers to top our pizzas. Finally, our pizzaioli cook the pizzas in our oven at about 450 degrees, for no more than 90 seconds, in true Neapolitan style.

PIZZA

Naples is the birthplace of pizza… Soft and pillowy, rather than thin and crispy or a pizza pie. Our dough is made by us every day, proved for a minimum of 24 hours, then topped by our pizzaioli who cook every pizza in our ovens at 450+ degrees. Buon appetito!

Attentive and great food . Had to wait a while for clear table/ dessert so we had to go to bill. Very warm inside so decided to eat outside which was great

Lovely food and the service was lovely as we had a baby with us and made it fun for them too. Would go back when child is older as buggy didn’t fit well but other than that lovely experience

Value for money inspires a low rating. The amount of toppings on the pizzas has easily reduced by 50% since reopening after Covid. But what really stung during my last visit (04.09.2024) was the increase in price of the soft drinks. The price point remains the same at £3.50 (which is steep to begin with) but the volume has reduced from a 330ml can to 200ml. That’s a cost increase of around 70%, which is indefensible. When I spoke to the waiter about it he gave me a lot of waffle about suppliers. Sort it out, Fatto.

The best ever Pizza as always! So nice to have a gluten free pizza that actually tastes like a pizza. I would never have pizza anywhere else 🥰

My family are Italian and we are fussy about food. Especially Italian food. And especially pizza. This place does the best pizza I’ve ever had ! Amazing service, actual Italians running the whip, and amazing food. Never tasted anything like this outside of Italy!

Way too noisy, no good for a family birthday meal we couldn’t hold a conversation. I was very disappointed. Overpriced.

The food is always excellent, but they have crammed too many tables onto the 1st floor. I had to ask the people at the table next to us to move their table so I could get to my seat and then there was a pillar jutting out into my space so I spent the meal awkwardly positioned. They could really do with something on the walls or ceiling to absorb noise as well. Everyone was having to shout to hear each other. The ambience outside is great but it was just a bit chilly that evening unfortunately.

Outstanding experience on every level. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff, food, environment, this was one of the best experiences in a restaurant ever.
