Father’s Office Downtown is our 2nd location from our Father’s Office
concept. Our original location on Little Lonsdale St.

Father’s Office is based on prohibition Americana in the 1920’s,
when the consumption of alcohol was disallowed. Speakeasies became
the place to be and underground bootleg liquor (and the debauchery that
follows) thrived.

Expect a sprawling 350-person late night venue serving Father’s Office
all-Americana cuisine that has been loved by so many.

Head downstairs to party the night away where you can mingle late into
the night with a cocktail in hand. With a 7am Liquor License, you can
party your weekends away!

Very disappointed preorder and still had to wait an hour. Meals came out at various times. People got their meals and were finished while some were still waiting for their meals

Had a great time. Arrived early for booking, staff accommodated change request to move us from downstairs to bar area where atmosphere was better. Food excellent quality and value. Only negative was the long time between ordering and receiving drinks, a minor point that didn’t ruin our experience

Great restaurant/bar. Love the interior. Food was yummy, drinks excellent price. Great customer service. Would definitely come back.

Our server was the nicest sweetest human being ever she made our experience amazing. The food was beautiful we had the steak and the Mexican pama and they where both spot on just mind blowing.

My partner and I waited an hour and a half for our mains which could have done with major Adjustments to the seasoning. We also waited 45 minutes for our two starters which were decent. The only part of our experience I can’t fault was the drinks menu and the bar staff.

Being able to book online and without speaking to anyone, fantastic! Being able to order at the table using QR code and not needing to flag down a waiter to order something or pay the bill before leaving, priceless! Great for groups, large and small :)

Had the Wednesday night special $25 for Gluten free parma, with crispy seasoned chips and salad( lettuce), and a drink ( cider). Generous serves, timely as we had a show at the Regent, it was 5min walk.

Fantastic service and staff that accommodated our large groups needs. It was a very hot night in Melbourne and they moved us to a cooler room. Great food and lovely cocktails. Massive thanks to Paul our host.

As a regular patron of Father's Office on Flinders Lane, I was extremely disappointed with the service this evening. We waited for 30 minutes without anyone approaching our table, only to discover they had switched to a QR code ordering system. Our group of four ordered meals, and while two dishes arrived promptly within 15 minutes, the other two were significantly delayed. Despite following up multiple times, the remaining meals only arrived 55 minutes later, after I expressed my frustration. It was revealed that our meals had been mistakenly served to another table. The service staff showed little to no customer service skills, lacked initiative, and offered no apology for the delay, which was particularly disappointing. This experience has left me reluctant to return anytime soon.
