The atmosphere and food were amazing. The service was poor but it could have also been a bad day for the staff. We plan to go back again and try to tastings since the restaurant doesn’t allow that. They also have activities for kids, so we can take our children next time.

In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. The new needs friends. Last night, I experienced something new, an extra-ordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Farmers Commons, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in Florence. I will be returning to Farmers Commons soon, hungry for more.

The ambience and atmosphere cannot be beat. The service was subpar. We were disappointed in that. The food was OK, nothing special. We waited more than 20 minutes for our drinks and we were the only ones there. The pizza my husband ordered was very soft and not very flavorful. Actually overpriced for what you got. I had the skirt steak and it was quite good however the sauces were not to my liking. we’ll have to think about if we go back. We may go back for just a glass of wine and enjoy the atmosphere.

We have enjoyed dining at Farmers Commons always. The food is excellent, the service is great and the environment is friendly and relaxing. It has become one of my favorite places to eat.

This used to be one of our favorite places but the cuisine and hospitality has become bland and overpriced. We still love the vineyard, accommodations, wine, and resort - but we won't be dining at Farmers Commons again anytime soon.

Great views, ambience, setting and a great place hidden in the country that feels classy and relaxed at the same time. Jeans and boots or a suit and you’ll fit right in! Food is a little over priced but for what you get and the setting you’re receiving it, we will definitely be back!

Most of the food was good, but one of our party needed a vegan meal and they made a very sad effort for her, even though we told them in advance when the reservation was made. These days there's no excuse for not knowing how to do a decent vegan meal. The lack of effort was disappointing. Guess that's why we were the only ones there.
