For 165 years, the Farmers Arms Hotel has been a gathering place for Daylesford locals and travellers alike. Nowadays, it has evolved into one of the biggest supporters of local producers, showcasing wild and farmed ingredients from around Daylesford and the best of the region. First time eating here and it was absolutely lovely taking my Dad here for Dinner while staying down in Hepburn Springs for the weekend. I will be telling my friends and family about this place as the Building heritage architectural was beautiful.

Streak was outstanding. The best steak we have had in years. The barramundi special was dry and overcooked and the butter bean mash not palatable. Outstanding service. I should have returned the fish to give them an opportunity to rectify. My bad.

We all had a really delicious meal & thoroughly enjoyed ourselves 12 women aged 46-76. #fun

Food was very very average. Roast Chicken Salad was huge bed of smeared rocket lettuce with tiny strips of chicken sparsley through the thick bed of rocket. Chips seemed like heated up frozen chips Focaccia Bread was crumbly and cold

Food is that of an upscale pub, I had beer battered fish & chips, hubby had the eye fillet. Both were good but not great, lighting in there was quite dim even at lunchtime on a sunny day. Staff were lovely

Fantastic looking pub with a great front bar. Boring menu with overpriced dishes. Wait and bar staff did not know the wine list with generic comments like ‘it will suit the food’, “it’s a nice wine’. A polenta and vegetable main was $32 which was bland and outrageously overpriced. This has been a favourite destination for many years but sadly the staff and menu are letting it down. Will not be returning.

My husband & I shared the baked cheese for entree and the venison pie with some greens on the side. Both were fantastic and enough for 2.

Fantastic place to eat and socialize. Had a wonderful meal with entree of Scotchman's egg followed by Pork Belly as a main. Great selection of wines, so had a Kyneton Pinot Noir with main, and started with one of the many local beers on tap. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, and the ambience of the dining area is very relaxed. Prices aren't cheap, so be prepared to pay that bit extra for a fine dining experience.

Staff were not overly friendly. We arrived 15 min late and were immediately told we had 'FOUR MINUTES TO PLACE OUR ORDERS' ... we felt tense the moment we walked in. We requested to sit outside & weren't provided any salt, pepper or napkins until we asked for them. Food was really good but expected just a little bit more when it came to the service. There was a 9.5% surcharge on the Saturday & even higher on the Sunday.
