Nowadays, it has evolved into one of the biggest supporters of local producers, showcasing wild and farmed ingredients from around Daylesford and the best of the region. Food is that of an upscale pub, I had beer battered fish & chips, hubby had the eye fillet. Both were good but not great, lighting in there was quite dim even at lunchtime on a sunny day. Staff were lovely

Fantastic looking pub with a great front bar. Boring menu with overpriced dishes. Wait and bar staff did not know the wine list with generic comments like ‘it will suit the food’, “it’s a nice wine’. A polenta and vegetable main was $32 which was bland and outrageously overpriced. This has been a favourite destination for many years but sadly the staff and menu are letting it down. Will not be returning.

My husband & I shared the baked cheese for entree and the venison pie with some greens on the side. Both were fantastic and enough for 2.

Fantastic place to eat and socialize. Had a wonderful meal with entree of Scotchman's egg followed by Pork Belly as a main. Great selection of wines, so had a Kyneton Pinot Noir with main, and started with one of the many local beers on tap. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, and the ambience of the dining area is very relaxed. Prices aren't cheap, so be prepared to pay that bit extra for a fine dining experience.

Staff were not overly friendly. We arrived 15 min late and were immediately told we had 'FOUR MINUTES TO PLACE OUR ORDERS' ... we felt tense the moment we walked in. We requested to sit outside & weren't provided any salt, pepper or napkins until we asked for them. Food was really good but expected just a little bit more when it came to the service. There was a 9.5% surcharge on the Saturday & even higher on the Sunday.

We loved the Farmers Arms Hotel, the food was delicious and good value for money. We had the Pork Belly & the Steak Frites- would highly recommend! The ambience was perfect for Friday date night. Will definitely be back!

It was a strange experience, the seats were stuck together with black race tape which was peeling off and stuck to our clothes. Very uncomfortable corner booth area. Food was very very expensive for a pub meal. We were all keen (5 of us) for dessert but the menu was missing any favourites so we didn't have anything. We eat out a lot but found the menu very pompus and over the top,
