Located just outside Chichester, at the heart of the Goodwood Estate, Farmer, Butcher, Chef celebrates the beef, pork, and lamb reared at Goodwood Home Farm. Aptly named, the farmer, butcher, and chef collaborate to discuss the available cuts of meat, which are featured in our hearty Butcher’s Boards and a constantly changing seasonal menu.

Awarded two AA Rosette's, it has a relaxed atmosphere with quintessentially British interiors by Leveson Design. With a bar and beautiful courtyard where you can enjoy live music and BBQs throughout the summer months, alongside a full calendar of events, the restaurant is a space to enjoy exceptional food with friends, family and dogs are very welcome too.

Goodwood has been farmed by the Dukes of Richmond for over 300 years. Susan, Duchess of Richmond was one of the Soil Association’s earliest members. Her belief in organic food and animal welfare were instrumental in Goodwood Home Farm becoming the first 100% organically fed dairy in the country.

This a restaurant for meat eaters - and very good it is too. Everything we tried was beautifully prepared and delicious. Service neither too slow nor too fast. Very good for couples with plenty of well spaced tables. Wine list was a bit daunting.

The food was excellent and the staff were extremely attentive and helpful. Unfortunately the table was too low for our family who are all tall and there was a large group in which made it noisy. Our fault for not asking to move, but we’re British. It was expensive.

Outstanding! Five Stars 🌟 Our second visit. Decor, amazing and quirky Staff, warm and welcoming Food amazing!! You can really taste the fact that the ingredients are of the highest standard. This is our new favourite restaurant. We will return soon!

Food very tasty, but service haphazard and prices high for the quality of food /level of service. Slightly soulless feel to the restaurant, not helped by the large table in the centre of the room, used for the hotel buffet breakfast.

Meat was excellent (one beef; one pork) but new potatoes tasted like they were reheated - as did the chips according to my husband. Greens as a side dish were tasteless. Starters were mixed. The pigeon was tough but the pate was sublime; crab was also tasteless. They mixed up our wine order, bringing us a bottle of Rioja rather than the Malbec we had ordered. While the wine was lovely, no apology was forthcoming and we had no idea whether we’d been charged for a more expensive bottle. Surprisingly the atmosphere felt a little corporate compared to other places with similar prices in the area. Don’t think we’ll be rushing back

Beautiful building, super friendly staff, food was good. What really let it down was the music, best described as 80's pop, this included lots of Abba and even the Earth Song by Micheal Jackson was dusted off for an outing, a particular low was the Time Warp, plus, really, who wants to be Rickrolled when you are having Sunday lunch.

Absolutely first class! The food was five star, could not fault it. The decor was quirky and unusual and very much appreciated, very light and airy. The service was very friendly and extremely professional. This is our new favourite restaurant, we will be booking soon to sample the award winning roast lunch. Thank you to the Farmer, Butcher, Chef and all the staff for a memorable, birthday lunch! We will return soon.
