Farm Bar is a neighborhood farm-to-table restaurant with locations in Ravenswood and Lakeview. We serve approachable midwestern fair with local, organic ingredients from our own Brown Dog Farm in Mineral Point Wisconsin. Stop by for dinner to indulge in our Classic Burger and famous Wisconsin Cheese Curds, or bring the whole family for lunch. Our mixologists behind the bar will happily shake up handcrafted cocktails or pour a glass of local wine to pair with brunch on the weekends as well. Join us for homestyle cooking, friendly faces and a table that feels like home. We limit our environmental footprint by using a digital menu linked to our tables with a QR code. Upon request, a paper menu with standard items can be provided along with removing our inflation fee.

Honestly we have been to Farm Bar so many times because we live in the neighborhood, but this time we were disappointed. $17 for a breakfast sandwich and the side potatoes were barely warm. We had a better burger and fries for $5 less than yours at another bar. Sorry. And now you are charging an inflation fee? We think you have out priced our humble budget.

A friend recommended Farm Bar, and even though it was a bit out of our way, it ended up being more than worth the trip. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They went above and beyond, even letting me use their phone charger when my battery died—a small gesture that meant a lot. The service was exceptional throughout the evening. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed at just the right times. And the food—delicious! Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented, making for a memorable dining experience. I would definitely recommend Farm Bar for any occasion, whether it’s a family night, a date night, or a night out with friends. It’s a gem worth visiting!

This place is great -- delicious food, even more delicious drinks, really friendly service and great ambiance -- but the prices are pretty high. If the prices were a bit more reasonable it would be one of my favorite places to go. I still really like going there, I just need to brace myself when the check comes.

Thanks for the kind words. Re our prices, two things. First, because we source sustainably, our ingredient costs are typically much higher than competitive restaurants. For example our burger from Slagel Farms is twice the cost of the burger most restaurants sell. Secondly the City of Chicago just mandated a large increase in what we pay staff as of July 1. This was a 16% increase in the pay for half our staff. In order to stay in business, we had to increase our prices. We did so as little as possible, but not increasing prices wasn't an option given the city's new wage ordinances. Cheers!
