Named after Fanny Brice—the legendary movie, vaudeville, theater, and radio star portrayed by Barbra Streisand in her Oscar®-winning role in Funny Girl (1968)—the striking two-story, 10,000-square-foot space, conceptualized by the late architect Osvaldo Maiozzi, features a chef-designed open kitchen, elegant bar, and captain-based service style that nods to a bygone era, and offers diners cuisine by Chef Jun Bum Oh, with the support of Chef Eric Klein, SVP Culinary for Wolfgang Puck Catering. The restaurant is supported by Wendy Stark Morrissey, Brice’s granddaughter.

Great cocktails. Ambience is elegant and comfortable with a little old Hollywood vibe without being stuffy. The food is delicious and the focaccia is divine!

I liked it. Large but intimate, good seat and lighting. It felt like a lived in spot and the service was cool.

Although I had drinks here previously, I’ve never eaten at Fanny’s. It’s definitely pricey, but everything I had was delicious. You can always tell how good a place is by the standards. In this case a Caesar salad and steak frites. Both excellent.

A wonderful extension of the Academy Museum with a wonderful and high-class menu. A wonderful, distinct menu with a great variety of themed drinks and desserts; it’s a must!~

The best burger in LA. Very good Asian chicken salad. Pleasant attentive staff. But very expensive.

I was delighted by my evening at Fanny's! The food was excellent—I had the fish special of the day, risotto with black ink and clams, and grilled calamari—and we enjoyed a nice Sauvignon blanc. The atmosphere was quiet, intimate, and friendly at the same time. It was a special occasion for me; I brought two very dear people with me, so I wanted to make it memorable. I communicated this when I made my reservation on OpenTable, and I was thrilled that the staff at Fanny's took this into consideration and accommodated us. The service was impeccable, from the hostess to the server to the manager who came to the table to say hello. Years ago, I used to work at the restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental in NYC (a 5-star hotel), so I am very sensitive to good service. I can confirm that at Fanny's, you will receive excellent customer service—or should I say "guest" service! Merci!

Food was okay but it's price point is way out of sync with its value. Granted it's at a museum but $90 is crazy for a simple chicken dish, some bread and a glass of white wine. Will think twice before eating there again.
