The menu and quality atmosphere at Fadó will reset your expectation around what it means to eat at an Irish Pub. There is a broad range of snacks for sharing and fantastic burgers and sandwiches. The star of our entrée section is our Fish and Chips which uses sustainably caught cod from the deep waters off of Iceland. You’ll also see Irish staples like Shepherd’s Pie and Corned Beef and Cabbage. We take great pride in our seasonal menu which changes regularly.

We are known for our cocktail selection with an emphasis on Irish spirits, a broad range of local craft beers and, of course, the best Pint of Guinness in Philly.

Our calling card is our hospitality and everything you see in the pubs was built in Ireland and shipped to the U.S.A.

Very loud when I went after an afternoon show at the Kimmel Center. Thank goodness I had reservations. Food was good. Service was ok. Waitress didn't look too happy to be working .

We made a reservation for brunch at Fadó to try something new but were told ten minutes after being seated with brunch menus that they were no longer serving brunch or honoring brunch specials that day. We were told this at 1pm when their website, internet, and brunch menu state that it runs until 3.

Went to Fado before a show at the Merriam theater. Food was very good, as was the atmosphere, and the service was very friendly and efficient. Really appreciated that food was delivered to the table in a timely fashion.

We were early for our reservation since traffic wasn’t bad coming into city. Thank goodness. We needed every minute. The food was typical Irish pub food. It was good but not excellent. I liked the surroundings. Warm and inviting. Very active. Looked like fun if we didn’t have somewhere to be. The service was the worst I’ve experienced in a long time. Right from the beginning, the waitress was disinterested and sullen. My companion and I were having a nice visit, so weren’t alarmed. We waited 20 minutes before we had to call her to order drinks. She never came to the table unless she was called. Other wait staff brought our food to the table after I asked for it. She knew from the beginning we had tickets to Academy of Music and had a time limit. At one point, nearing the end, when I started to worry we would miss curtain time, I said to her, “we need to prepare to leave. This is what I need-a container and the bill”. She stared in my face with a nasty expression and walked away without comment. It was 20 minutes after that before our dessert came (topping melted) and another 10 after that before she brought the bill. I am not a demanding diner but to have to ask for everything, was ridiculous. It was so bad that another waitress brought a 15% off card to us to encourage us to return to give them another try. I had not complained to anyone. An acceptable meal that should have taken around an hour took us 2 hours 15 minutes! For the first time in my life I will say, they need to get rid of,that waitress. I doubt if I am willing to return. I would certainly refuse to have her as my waitress.

Went to Fadó after a show at the Kimmel Center. The staff was. Wry accommodating to our party of 9 that included 5 children 6 and under.
