From Chef Srijith Gopinathan and restaurateur Ayesha Thapar, the creators of Ettan, Copra and Little Blue Door, Eylan offers seasonally-driven Cal-Indian cuisine centered around a wood-fired grill, with thoughtfully sourced produce and a variety of proteins cooked over the embers and served alongside clever riffs on traditional breads from different regions of India. The bar program by West-Bev and Christopher Longoria draws upon the kaleidoscope of ingredients and techniques that make up global cocktail culture, while also taking inspiration from the culinary traditions of India. Wine director Andre Sydnor's program offers depth in classic regions like Burgundy, Champagne, Piedmont, and California, offering a variety of options for casual wine lovers while including more exclusive selections for serious oenophiles.

Like no other in Menlo Park! Great vibe, service was great and helpful, food delicious! We will be back soon. It is loud but manageable at a table of four

Had a fabulous celebrating our dear friend’s birthday in Eylan’s ultra gorgeous space ❤️ Ambiance is A+ Service is A+ and a very creative menu from the iconic Chef Sri, but many of the dishes failed to deliver. Especially the desserts, we tried Masala Chai Sundae, Forzen Shrikand and the complimentary Mango sorbet - and none of them impressed us. They are no match to Copra’s Bay Leaf Slice, Watalappan, God’s own coconut variation, or Ettan’s Chocolate Puck. We are a major fan of Chef Sri and were completely blown away by his Spice Route Menu at The Taj Campton Place and we are regulars at both Ettan and Copra, and love the fare there very much. But Chef Sri needs to up his game at Eylan. I have dined at Tiya twice recently and I found Chef Pujan Sarkar’s creations much more flavorful than Chef Sri’s.

We went for a double date and they wouldn’t let us go to the bar to wait for a table or get a drink while we waited, that felt like an odd start. The restaurant is very beautiful. Music was too loud to have a conversation with the full table, though. Our server was warm and friendly. The food was tasty, however the ribeye was not worth $95, I’d pass on that. For the snacks the chicken bites were delicious. The sweet potato bread was meh. Lamb kabab was excellent. COD main was excellent. Drinks are tasty, but very small for $20.

Unfortunately when you arrived, our bar was completely full and out of respect of our other guests we do not allow congregating around the bar hindering the guests dining in the lounge. That being said, we will discuss with our host team to make sure we can offer you drinks while you wait for your table. We're glad to know that you enjoyed our ambiance and found the food tasty. Your feedback about the ribeye and sweet potato bread is noted, and we'll certainly consider these points for future improvements. This is a welcome addition to the growing Menlo Park dining scene. Food was terrific. Service was quite good. The room is stylish. And the drinks were spectacular - w/ a great sommelier. My only notes would be that the restaurant is incredibly loud - and as I surveyed, the premises has almost zero acoustical abatement in the design. The slightly oversized tables means that while you have ample space for dishes, you do need to lean over, in order to hear your dining partners over the noise. It’s also quite dark - most diners were users flashlights to read the menus. This is a very easy solve based on the smart lighting design. It just needs to be turned up a bit; even 5 to 10% would make a world of difference. Pricing is commensurate for all MP fine dining - which is to say, quite high - but justifiably so. Even with these minor notes, these are all easy kinks to work out — all possible given its relative newness. I look forward to returning again.

At long last we were able to get a reservation at the new Indian restaurant in Menlo Park, Eylan. Simply put, it was nice but not worth the price. The setting and ambiance were fabulous and wonderfully decorated. The menu -- which is fairly "select" -- does NOT have the traditional Vindaloos, Butter Chickens and Tikka Masalas of your standard Indian restaurant. The food we ordered -- especially seafood items such as Cured Hamachi appetizer, and Charred Black Cod -- was delicious. The menu is divided into appetizers, breads, small wood-fired items and large wood-fired items. Our server recommended we get 2-3 items from each section for the two of us. That would have been WAY TOO MUCH FOOD. We ordered 1 appetizer [Cured Hamachi], 1 bread [Flaxsee Poee], 2 small food fired items [King Trumpet Mushrooms, Lamb Kebab], and 1 large [Charred Black Cod] and we had plenty to eat. The Hamachi and the Cod were fantastic. The lamb kebab was not for to our liking -- kind of a lamb sausage. Our server recommended that we order garlic, mint naan which was not listed separately on the menu. The naan had a nice texture but way too much garlic and tasted oily. Most bottles on the wine list are in the $200 - $400 range. They do offer beer but that is not listed on the menu. We ordered a very nice IPA.

We are creating innovative dishes to showcase our Cal-Indian cuisine like we are known for. Our wine list has an extensive selection of wine between $70 and $150 if that is what you were looking for.
