   Saturday evening dinner at Exeter Inn was lovely. The beef and ale pie had a shortcrust pastry and NOT a commercially produced bought in pie that can so often be found elsewhere .Accompanied by fresh veg and tasty gravy it was a substantial enjoyable meal My wife was enthusiastic about the slow cooked lamb rump. We both chose the 'Proper Sticky Toffee Pudding' intrigued about the word proper. I challenge anyone to finish it and think 'I could eat that again' but be warned, you need to have a 'sweet tooth.' We chose to have desert instead of Starter which was the right choice for us, we wouldn't have managed three courses.

   The food was fabulous - as always. I've tried a variety of dishes at The Exeter Inn and they have all been excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

   Excellent meal and service. Not all choices were available from menu but the alternative choices were good and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Excellent ambience too

   Nice pub and restaurant. Nice warm and friendly feel and the staff are very welcoming. Service was great and food was tasty. Would certainly go back.

    Not been to the Exeter Inn for years (literally) so thought we would give it a whirl and boy am I glad we did. The Sunday roast was exceptional, probably the best I’ve had. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is beautifully appointed and well laid out with plenty of space. So many places you find yourselves sitting on top of each other but not here. We are back there tomorrow and this coming Sunday and I would highly recommend a visit. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
