I really wanted to love this place as I was told by a few people that is was good...well we ordered a trio of dips, they were decent, then we had spanakopita and it was good, we had zucchini fritters and they were not good, dry and boring. We shared a full chicken and it was so dry we even left about a 1/3 of it as couldn't eat it. The lemon potatoes were not lemony at all...french fries were decent, and the sauvignon blanc wine was good. However for $340 very disappointed and would not return...all of us felt the exact same way...too bad because Ottawa is lacking consistency in most restaurants. Its a shame because although we are better than average cooks and bakers, sometimes you want to go out and be pleasantly surprised...

great meal for my daughters birthday. Had originally booked the patio but it was windy and cool. The server organized an excellent table inside instead. She gave great recommendations for food and wine. Well worth it. Highly recommended

it's a nice spot for Greek food, with a number of plates good for sharing. However, I found the menu better suited for dinner than lunch. There's no soup, and the plates with meat and pasta, etc. are too large and expensive for lunch. The spanakopita was very good, the horitaki salad pretty average - the chunks were too big and there were little to no herbs in it. Where was the Greek oregano?

Our server was extraordinary. She was knowlegrable, professional yet friendly. She explained the dishes.

Lovely supper at EVOO. An absolutely delicious moussaka. However we had a rather dry pork souvlaki and paid $12 for a plate of very ordinary lemon potatoes. Come on! It’s a pricey menu for what you get so great place for a special occasion or if you have cash to burn but don’t expect to get your money’s worth. Very interesting drink menu but too expensive so we passed.

Food was great as usual and so was the service. However the temperature in the restaurant made it difficult to enjoy the food. It was unbearably hot - both myself and the person I went with were sweating. This is the second time in the past month that I’ve encountered this issue at EVOO.

We sat on the patio which was perfect for the warm evening. Unfortunately the service was terrible. Our server was either very inexperienced or having a very bad night. We had chosen to take out of town guests to EVOO so it was embarrassing for us when one guest didn’t get the starter salad he ordered and the appetizer came at the same time as our meal. The food was good but unfortunately the overall experience was not positive due to the poor service and our guests were very disappointed.

Everything was amazing! We had a waiter named… Matt, I think? Anyway he was great, so attentive and nice. The food was fresh and so yummy, especially the EVOO salad and feta fries, they were the stars of tge night. Will definitely be back!
