We tried to order apps, were told we had to order all of our food at once and the server didn’t come back for 15 minutes. Entrees came out 10 minutes apart, we didn’t have steak knives to cut our meat and just wanted to get out of there towards the end. It took another 10-12 minutes to have them pack a desert to-go after we had paid. Just overall poorly managed and not worth the price. Music was so loud it’s hard to carry on a conversation & tables are crammed together so close.

New menu is so good! We had the focaccia, hamachi crudo, Cesar salad, filet, chicken and pasta. Only complaint is they had dj music blasting throughout the entire restaurant and it was hard to have a conversation!

The background music (primarily base level) was so loud that we could not have conversations. Asked manager to adjust, but was told nothing could be done. Service was slow and not attentive. Drinks were >$23 each. Food was OK, but served without protein --- very expensive. Our first visit since renovations. Will not return.

Service was amazing. Very nice staff. Place was awesome looking as well but I came there to eat and my steak was extremely tough. Ordered the 95 dollar ribeye and a ribeye is supposed to melt in your mouth and it did not. Was overwhelmingly chewy. My wife also got a steak and hers was cooked with perfection but had a very gamey taste. I’ve been all over Scottsdale for steaks. Have had the nicest steaks and this one was truly disappointing. If you go, order anything else but the steaks. Highly recommend getting the Ceasar salad. Also don’t order martinis. They come out in a weird small shot glass or small margarita glass. They do this to be “unique” and “different” but they need to stick with the basics when ordering something old fashion and elegant. I will not be going back.

A disappointment. 40 minutes from salad to entree. Pasta was supposed to be spicy but bland. Branzino good Music was not cool but way too loud. Could hardly talk. Prices are way up Nice remodel but basics need work

First time in Arizona and we decided to check out Etta for bday dinner per TikTok recommendation. The vibe, the DJ and the food was great! Our server was very friendly and helpful. We had the theatrical drinks. The focaccia and the burrata apps were tasty. The pasta tasted fresh. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with another (tipsy/drunk) patron of the restaurant who refused to leave our table. Otherwise a good overall experience.

Too loud to talk. It’s a club with very expensive and average food. Got a long text about dress code which we appreciated but when we got there it was not enforced. Hats, T’s, hoodies.

Service was terrible waited 30min to get sat down when we had reservations. Steak came out cold and the pasta was rubbery and cold. Oysters were really good and caviar was alright.

We wanted to love the “new” Etta so badly…but alas, the improvements that they’ve made are only improvements on the surface. At the core, the same issues exist. In the revamped Etta, it’s clear from the moment you enter that they drew inspiration from Maple & Ash, crafting an entryway & general vibe from the Old Town hot spot. There’s a focus on a moodier atmosphere — dimmer lighting, the addition of more expensive decor, and loud house music playing on repeat. The menu itself has also been completely reimagined, now appearing leaner and featuring updated offerings that try hard to give “upscale,” from a caviar service to an artisanal pasta selection, assuring you that this is no longer just a family-friendly pizza joint. The cocktail menu also appears to be new (and potentially overpriced), with drink options ranging from a somewhat reasonable $17 to a ridiculous $30+, should you choose for your drink to be presented with some theatricality. In terms of service, Etta has made improvements in the way you’d expect a restaurant reaching for the top tier to make: servers are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Ours came prepared with menu recommendations & was able to answer the few questions that we had with ease. He also was quick to notice issues that we had with the food rather than ignore our barely-touched plates. And while don’t have the character count here to cover the food in detail, perhaps that’s for the best…as I don’t have nice things to say about any of the 8 dishes we ordered. Both pastas (the M&A copy/paste “Ricotta Pillows” and the Lobster Gnocchetti) weren’t just lacking flavor, but were downright bad — poorly imagined, poorly seasoned, and wildly overcooked. And our steaks were mediocre at best, making their hefty price tag feel painfully unearned. Amazingly the worst part wasn’t even the quality, but that we waited over 2 hours to get it! Overall, our recommendation is to visit Etta for a drink and the vibe, but to seek food elsewhere.
