Ethel's Creole Kitchen is a locally owned and operated restaurant specializing in upscale casual dining, fine cocktails, and good times! Our award winning Gumbo and Jambalaya are not to be missed, but the depth of our cuisine doesn't stop there. Chef Ed and Chef Nick are always cooking up seasonal specials and new flavors utilizing fresh seafood, cajun creole staples, smoked / grilled meats, and local products. We also offer a full bar with plenty of signature cocktails, fine wines, and great beers. In the spring, summer, and fall join us for candle lit open patio and outdoor dinning in addition to our regular cozy indoor seating. Great for date nights and family dinners!

Loved our experience here! Was lucky that they were having a shrimp and grits special the evening we went. Best I’ve had! Husband also loved his fried fish with cornbread. Very good!

One of our favorite best kept secret spots for dinner. We are never disappointed. I tried something different.. the shrimp & grits. It was great. Will visit more often!

I was very excited about coming to this restaurant but was highly disappointed with the experience. The service was great and the ambience was good but the food was bland and had no flavor. The crab dip was good and so was the cornbread but the main entrees weren’t enjoyable. I had the creole shrimp boat and my boyfriend had the jambalaya. Neither dishes had any signs of being creole. Bland and flavorless. Some salt and seasoning would have helped both dishes. Neither of us finished our meals.

Absolutely excellent... Being from the southeast, I am familiar with authentic creole cuisine. The food was by far the best creole cuisine I have ever had in the state of Maryland--and perhaps the north east. Portions were perfect, ambience was quaint/calm and not loud, and the staff were impeccable in their service. I ordered the fried grits and Dino Bone. I was stuffed, but couldn't resist finishing the meal. The headchef, Ed, was trained in New Orleans and clearly knows his way around the kitchen. I highly recommend this restaurant and will absolutely come back again. 6/5 stars.

This is a little gem of a restaurant… Authentic Creole entrees with tons of flavor. Portions are ample. Service is terrific. Sitting outside is great snd why there was no issue with noise. Casual and a place we will be returning to try other dishes.

We had the "Dino Bone" special (huge short rib) and the seafood gumbo (always excellent). Friendly and delicious.

Great little spot in a really nice section of town. Everyone was very friendly, the service was excellent, and the food and drinks were great. The jambalaya had just the right amount of flavor and heat!! We were visiting the area, had no idea where to go and came across this listing. So glad we did!

The portobello mushroom pasta with marinara sauce was wildly good . My companion had the cream of crab soup. Cornbread was wonderful with herb butter. Service was gracious --we were over an hour late for our reservation and staff was very welcoming and happy to make room for us. Only suggestion is to amp up the salad. A bit of a disappointment among a sea of wonderful!
