We had heard of Esther’s Kitchen from a local friend but could never get a reservation. Finally we grabbed a table for two at 8:30. It’s worth the wait and the all the hype is real. Every item we selected was delicious and expertly prepared. The lamb with creamy polenta was fork tender and the creamy polenta was a nice addition to the crispy brussel spouts we ordered as a side. Our server was always ready with suggestions and the Chef came out to make sure all the tables were enjoying their meals. Make sure to arrive early and enjoy a cocktail in the upstairs lounge that looks over the dining area.

Most of the experience was good. Just a little bit over hyped and under delivered. Service wasn’t all that amazing.

Very tasty food, the cocktails unfortunately left more to be desired. We went for brunch and were happy to make the short trip across town to try out this hidden gem. Overall, I would suggest a visit on an empty stomach!

Food is fantastic. The bread service is superb, service c and only to a restaurant in Houston, Doris Metropolitan. Although it was a bit loud we were able to hear each other, a wonderful thing considering how many dining experiences are hurt by extreme noise levels. We had the bread service with all 9 spreads. Do it. A unique way to serve bread. On a side note my seat gave me a perfect view of the pass & the young woman expediting. I stress young. Before retiring I spent years in the food/restaurant business & love to observe different operations. This young woman was a maestro, always in motion, checking orders, cleaning the pass, direction waitstaff. I was amazed when I complimented her that she's only 19. WOW! And I'm a rum drinker. O n e of the best rum selections anywhere, although you need to get more of the Appleton Estates. Overall a wonderful dining experience.

Brian our waiter was very attentive. He explained everything about the menu. Excellent service. Food was very good especially the bread.

This was my 4th or 5th time there, but 1st time at the new location. They did an amazing job with the decor and ambiance of it. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and fun. There were a good amount of menu items to choose from and the food was good. We ordered the sourdough bread with the basic and basil spreads… very yummy; my favorite was the basil. We each had different pastas and we all agreed the dishes need more sauce. Italian pasta should always be plated with extra sauce. The side of meatballs were the best. Overall, it was delicious and an enjoyable experience. I recommend it and will be back.

One of the best meals I've ever had. Service is impeccable. An absolute must is to start with the sourdough bread. For starters the Wagyu Crudo was fantastic and the stracciatella cheese that was the base for the grilled peaches was amazing. Since the menu is seasonal, look for the cheese. Our group chose three of the made to order pastas and the Mary's Chicken. All were exceptionally good. For dessert, the Butterscotch Budino was the star. Chef James was an excellent host and made our birthday/friend celebration extra special.
