I checked the menu online and it seemed to have non-spicy options and I made a reservation. While ordering, I asked and learned that all the choices I considered, including backups, had black pepper. I was told the clam chowder was “mild”. I asked if I could have a taste to see if I could manage it. The kitchen denied my request. I finally ended up with plain asparagus because even the cheese it is served with had black pepper. It was early and the place was busy but not full. There seemed to be adequate wait and service staff; I don’t know about the kitchen staffing. I seldom have reason to write a negative review, but I will not be going back to Estrella. I have never had such difficulty ordering non-spicy food.

Amazing birthday night with my boyfriend, love the food and music. Service was amazing, made sure we were nice and comfortable. 10/10 definitely recommend

This was the only place I could find a reservation for on Saturday morning and that should have told me everything I need to know. 1. The service was actually terrible. I had to wave down the waitress several times just for coffee refills, pop, and water. I would be understanding if it was busy, but there were 3 tables of customers, including us. The wait staff was just leaning on the bar on their phones. 2. The food was not bad actually. I had the lobster Benedict, my partner had the chicken and waffle (the best of the dishes), my friend had the eggs special and French toast. 3. The price. So here is where I got pretty annoyed. My partner was charged for her 2nd soda, they didn’t say that it was not free refills when that is pretty common and they charged $2 for extra syrup for the waffle. I know it’s just $2, but it was such a small amount of syrup to begin with that we were surprised. While we were getting our stuff together to leave you could hear the hostesses talking about how much they hated working there because they were so bored. I have no idea how this place has a 4.3 on Yelp, the service alone was truly not good.

The atmosphere was nice and the drinks were good. The service can be improved. Many mistakes were made with the orders. I added notes about the evening being a special occasion and the servers nor host took note. We needed to move tables because part of the party was elderly and coule not sit on bar stools. The staff did not help move tables. We did it on our own. The food was delicious but extremely over priced. We needed to substitute sides due to food restrictions and got charged for full appetizers and sides.

We ordered our food and after an hour it still hadn’t come. We were going to a show and asked for any easy food they could bring. No one came back and we had to seek someone out To cancel our order. Then they asked us if we wanted to pay for our drinks and close the tab. We asked what we were paying for and they acknowledged we didn’t have to pay. Overall The servers were inattentive, apathetic and frankly seemed to not care at all. And the manager only came over once and never actually Addressed the situation. A miserable terrible Experience.

Food was excellent. However, about 15 minutes into our meal, a large group of approximately 35 people entered for dinner and the noise level went off the charts. We could not even hear ourselves at a small table for two. We asked to be moved and were graciously accommodated. Although our new table was as good as it could get, the noise created by the large, obnoxious group was distracting. The manager apologized for the noise and offered to buy us with a couple drinks for the inconvenience. He was very nice and engaging, given the circumstances.
