Enjoyed a Sunday Birthday lunch from the 3 course offer at £30 a head. Superb value, excellent food & great service

Had a great meal for wife's birthday. Was quite loud, an issue with the high ceilings I guess, but had a great conversation with a very drunk guy next to us, staff were very attentive and polite. Good was wonderful, will have to come back and try and tasting menu.

I’m not passionate about Indian food so I didn’t know what to expect. I have to say that I loved every single dish! We decided for the taste menu and it was so delicious,and full of taste . I definitely recommend the essence to everyone want to spend a wonderful evening with outstanding food.

Wonderful meal served by attentive, polite and informative staff in a fabulous setting. Everyone in our party of six thoroughly enjoyed the experience and found the food to be of an excellent standard and reflective of the Atul Kochhar provenance. The restaurant was fairly full, but the noise levels were absolutely fine.

This new restaurant on the Pantiles looks the part and the staff are very attentive and genuine. The food could be better though as unfortunately two of our dishes had hot sauce but the chicken was not been heated up correctly and was barely warm. This was rectified with a new dish but not what we expected at what could be an excellent restaurant.
