Birthday treat for close friend - excellent meal - delicious food and superb service. We ordered two courses each from the set lunch menu - fantastic. To top it off our waiter brought my friend a birthday desert as a treat - which made my guest feel very special - thank you. We will definitely come again.

Food was amazing, every dish very flavourful and the right level of spice. They didn’t have one of the dishes we first asked for (the lamb shank Rogan Josh) but the boneless lamb dish they suggested was delicious (albeit not a large size)

We booked Essence for a birthday evening and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely atmosphere and ambience, and service was very attentive. Food was consistently of a high standard and good value for money when compared to other venues around the Pantilles. We’ll be back

Overall very good. Would visit again. Perhaps not calling us because we were 5 mins mate, then telling us on arrival that the table was needed by 8.30 would have been better service from front of house staff buy overall a great evening.

My husband and I had a fantastic evening at Essence. We had the taster menu and every dish was superb. The staff were very attentive and service was impeccable. The spicy margaritas are a must try, my husband had three! Go hungry as we were very full but enjoyed every mouthful.

Excellent lunch with delicious food . Really a step up in Indian food . Best garlic naan I have eaten in England !! Great service will definitely go again . Lunch set menu is very good value !

Outstanding service and food. We had the set lunch menu and it was amazing. Unfortunately we were full after two courses and couldn’t manage desert! Met one of the owners who was very friendly. We will be coming back with friends.

Dinner for 4; Tuesday evening, so it was quiet. The service was excellent, staff attentive without being over the top. Enjoyed the signature cocktails. We all chose different dishes and without exception declared them delicious. Best Indian food I have had in quite a while. Thank you; we will definitely return.

Been here 4 times now across lunchtime and dinner. Pro’s Lunchtime menu is reasonable value for money. Restaurant interior is nice. Food is reasonable quality! Con’s It’s charging Michelin star London Indian prices, yet the food doesn’t compare to top London restaurants. Drinks prices! Service at the start was good, however on latest visit the service was poor. We had to ask for things multiple times(Menu/Bill etc). I would recommend visiting for lunch and not drinking alcohol. If you want an evening meal I would recommend other restaurants instead.
