Situé au cœur du centre-ville, The Esquire Tavern est le plus ancien bar sur le San Antonio Riverwalk ouvert l'année, depuis le jour où l'interdiction a été abrogée. Ce bar des premiers jours était très prisé et très recherché. la tradition se poursuit en créant un grand nombre de sirops, mélanges et concoctions. L'équipe aime utiliser la fraîcheur des jus avec l'intention de servir les meilleurs produits. À l'Esquire, on adopte une approche sérieuse et l'ancien monde du "bartending" est mélangé avec une touche moderne. La magie s'opère par la combinaison de techniques classiques et de nouvelles saveurs du monde et des concepts culinaires. To the West, The Rand Parking Garage on Soledad and Houston and to the North, the College Street Garage at College and St.Mary’s St.

I’m wondering if they were just having a bad night but our visit was subpar. No one came to wait on us after we were seated for over 20 minutes. Drinks were excellent. Food was not made to order and needed to be corrected. The open view to the kitchen showed people standing on the work space covering something with big plastic trash bags. Then at the end, the waitress forgot to bring back our credit card when we paid. Overall disappointing.

The food and drinks were delicious! Steak had great flavor and seasoning. The mock-tail on the menu sounded great, and they were able to make it for me with alcohol.

The steak and tomato soup were delicious, and our waitress was super sweet. We all had a good time!

Food was mediocre, cool vibe and nostalgic place. Would go for drinks and dine elsewhere.

The staff was very accommodating of our large group late at night. We did not expect the downstairs to have such loud, bass-heavy, droning music! I'm partially deaf, and we were seated next to a speaker blaring into my hearing aids. Even when I asked, they said that they could not turn the music down. This is frustrating because my disability was involved, and I didn't see why turning down the music would hurt anyone. However, they were absolutely kind about letting us move upstairs where they were playing excellent music at a good volume! Great late night food options. Great drinks. A little pricey, but it's the Riverwalk. I used to love the downstairs, but I guess late at night, they turn into the kind of place that will give you a migraine! In any case, the upstairs was there for us. Amazing staff!

Quail legs were the highlight of dinner. The seasoned French fries were very good. Reuben was light on corned beef but with good flavor. Drinks were as expected on river walk, not too weak not overtly generous with alcohol. Mussels were mid. Overall service was very good and decor eclectic.

We had a big group. Service was excellent for the number of people. Food was good. Cool space. It was very loud

The restaurant was very nice. It is a classic, throwback to a different era. I love the old cigarette vending machine, and the velvet on the walls. The food was great, and the service was outstanding. The Keylime pie is amazing! I highly recommend it.

Got fed an undercooked raw steak and dangerously alcoholic cocktail (supposed to be a sweet drink but was a tall glass of just straight bourbon). Manager did remove the steak from our tab but waitress then did not come back to check on us for 30-40 min afterwards to see if we needed anything
