Inspired by both Cabo San Lucas’ beautiful coast and Mexico City’s vibrant cosmopolitan neighborhoods, Esperanza’s thoughtful design blurs the lines between art and function. Masterfully designed by internationally renowned Islandic architect Gulla Jónsdóttir, Esperanza’s interiors reflect an elevated coastal ambiance that exaggerates the grandeur of a beach town villa.

Chef Ray Alvarez oversees a menu featuring fresh interpretations of Sonoran cuisine while Head Mixologists John Fox and Kevin Williams developed Esperanza’s bar program to not only include delicious and playful cocktails, but the two have also created the largest tequila list and mezcal collection in the South Bay.

My first visit a couple of months ago was superb. Recently this restaurant has turned into a fancy bar with appetizers. I went for Bday celebration and was treated as if I was asking for to much. My waitress tried her best to satisfy but to her dismay this place only caters to people who like noisy bars and have no concern for the quality of the food. Very disappointed .

We had a great experience today. Although we were running late because of parking, we were still seated. The hostess was understanding. The ambiance was great as well as the food. I had the Enchilada Suaza with chicken. AMAZING!!!! Our waiter was very attentive and checked on us continuously. I will most definitely dine here again.

Probably the worst service I have ever received. This used to be my favorite beach spot to go to year round. I’ve been here probably 15 times in the last two years. I’m not the “Karen” type to write a review, but the servers were so bad and so disrespectful, I had to. Proudly tipped $0 for disrespectful and arrogant little boy servers. Best of the service were the hosts.

Very loud, hard to hear across the table and the restaurant wasn’t that full. That aside, everything else was great.

OMG!! Everything was amazing and I do mean Amazing! From the hostess, the waiter, the decor & ambience. The food was next level and I love Mexican food. Drinks delicious. I am definitely a fan and will be back! Great job all the way around

Absolutely amazing staff! Very friendly and helpful. Gave really great guidance on menu options. Will definitely be returning and bringing friends.

Excellent dish presentation and service. Small things like a second set of clean silverware, attention to filled water glasses, hand-made before meal tortillas, and friendly server interaction add up to an excellent dining experience. Certainly more expensive than Mexican restaurants are expected to be, but they have set themselves apart as something special and worth the extra price for the upscale experience.

The food was delicious, from guacamole trio and short rib taquito appetizers to the fried ice cream dessert for the birthday girl. The alcoholic beverages were strong yet full of taste. The ambiance was just right, not too quiet or noisy. The parking wasn't so bad. We will definitely be back again.
