Good ingredients simply prepared and put together. Some standouts - the flatbread with beef fat & Urfa chili and the smoked cod’s roe. Some could have been better - the artichoke was a disappointment if you’ve had them in Italy or Spain. The meat and fish main dishes were served on cold plates and very quickly became cold. Interesting & eclectic wine list with some unusual grape blends. Overall a good experience but could have been better.

Easily the best restaurant in Manchester! I’ve been multiple times now and the food is always incredible and the staff are lovely!

Innovative food that is clearly cooked and served with pride in the product. Erst has definitely become one of our favourite watering holes.

Good ingredients handled well. Love the peach mignonette with oyster. We had the hogget which was tender and juicy. Chocolate sorbet was a perfect end to the meal. Highly recommend if you see it in the menu!

Really special food here. Previously I was not a big fan of the small plates style, but ERST have converted me. A very well balanced menu and excellent service meant we ordered well and the food was truly exceptional. Special mention to The Hake dish. Not being from Manchester was the only disappointment as returning to this restaurant is something I would do regularly if not for living so far away, but I will be back, any excuse will do, it’s that good.
