Outstanding in every way. Gorgeous room, comfortable counter seating (often not the case!), appealing well-priced menu and flawless food. The Urfa chilli flatbread, daily special of Barnsley chop cooked in brown butter & lemon, and melon sorbet were highlights. Loved the made-in-house beetroot soda too – nondrinkers are well catered-for here despite the restaurant's focus on natural wines. Above all else, I really appreciated being made so welcome as a solo diner after my guests had to cancel. I'm glad I kept the reservation as this was an impressive and memorable meal!

In my opinion the best restaurant in manchester right now. Can’t wait to return. Staff were incredible and friendly, super attentive. Food was perfection. No faults at all.

Brilliant Saturday night meal for 2. Sat at the bar/counter, brilliantly served by Louis who was just great. As was the food and the wine! Top night!

Awesome place. A little gem in the heart of the Northern Quarter. Middle Eastern spices with local produce and a pan European menu, sophisticated wine list and staff who are engaging and greet at their job. Bravo.

The team at Erst are superstars. Always make you feel welcome, are really knowledgable and give great recommendations. And not to forget, the food is always fantastic.

Fantastic venue! Cosy ambience and amazing food. Service was friendly and informative and food recommendations by staff was really good. Would definitely recommend to all my friends and family!

Erst is wonderful. But what makes for a truly outstanding night is the expertise, attention and enthusiasm of Louis. He is quite simply the best.
