Helmed by ES Hospitality Bar Director Jackson Cannon and Bar Principal Eliza Hoar, Equal Measure is a contemporary bar that features highly innovative cocktails with an emphasis on seasonality and sustainability. Just down the hall from legendary neighborhood brasserie Eastern Standard, EM's highly curated back bar is stocked with world-class spirits, both rare and hand-selected.

Though the culinary-inspired cocktails feature unconventional ingredients, the balance and flavors that come through are designed to be as satisfying as any classic. Whether it’s your first visit or you’re a long-time caller, you’ll be welcomed as a friend into the bar’s warmth. This is a place for familiarity and discovery, for the adventurer and the traditionalist.

Liza (hope I spelled right) is a great host. Each time I come back she gives a good background on drink and my friends and I are cozy and set up well. Slowly becoming my favorite spot.

Everything was excellent but I would suggest dimming the lights earlier. We sat in the space right before the bar and it was too bright around 730p. The lights were eventually dimmed and it made the place more inviting. Also instead of chairs, i think more bench seating like you already have near the bar would enhance the experience and allow for more flexibility for seating different numbers of groups

The service was great at this place and the cocktails are priced quite well. That said, for a cocktail bar, some of their cocktails aren't superlative. There's nothing wrong with them, and they're fine, they're just not as nuanced, subtle and creative as one might expect from a cocktail bar. A couple were great, but a couple were only so-so. The vibe is also nice and fun but also a little louder than I'd expected. Overall, good value for money, just not quite as creative on the culinary side. Also, if it helps anyone else, the only vegan item they were able to offer was their fries, which were definitely delicious, but not a lot of variety if you're vegan. I didn't get a chance to try their other non-vegan items (my companion was vegan) so can't speak to those.

Awesome staff and excellent drinks! Loved it and would absolutely recommend it to anybody who likes to relax with friends with a good drink.

Once we found it we were very pleased. The Velveteen was my favorite bourbon drink I’ve had in a long time. We ordered 4 plates for 3 people before our concert and it was perfect. House made potato chips with onion dip, tuna tartare, a charcuterie and a lobster salad. The rotating staff was competent, friendly and efficient. Definitely would go back
