The Engleside Inn, located in Beach Haven, New Jersey, not only provides its guests with excellent lodging, but it also contains the Leeward Room for fine dining. This on-site restaurant has made a name for itself over the years as one of the finest in the Long Beach islands area. There is also a bar in this restaurant within the Engleside Inn where guests can select from an excellent list of wines and liquors. Premium steaks are a big part of the draw at the Leeward Room at the Engleside Inn. You can find many other examples of fine American cuisine on the menu, such as the scallops encrusted with wasabi or the chicken breast glazed in ginger.

We sat at a table for my birthday adjacent to a table of three men that swore and had disgusting conversation about what they did in the men’s room. When we spoke to the manager he indicated we should have asked to be moved. It was quite apparent he knew them well and condoned their behavior. The waitress felt the same way. What a disgrace. I will never return there .

Prime rib, captain cut is always delicious, waitress was excellent, pasta penne vodka also delicious. Both dished had to be brought home because they were very generous portions.

Always a great meal at the Engleside. So happy to have a good restaurant that’s open during the off season. Our guests from Santa Fe and LA were thrilled with their seafood. Happy holidays!
