The Engleside Inn, located in Beach Haven, New Jersey, not only provides its guests with excellent lodging, but it also contains the Leeward Room for fine dining. This on-site restaurant has made a name for itself over the years as one of the finest in the Long Beach islands area. There is also a bar in this restaurant within the Engleside Inn where guests can select from an excellent list of wines and liquors. Premium steaks are a big part of the draw at the Leeward Room at the Engleside Inn. You can find many other examples of fine American cuisine on the menu, such as the scallops encrusted with wasabi or the chicken breast glazed in ginger.

Food was excellent as always however our server was horrible. Pretty much telling us the restaurant was busy so she didn’t have time for us . Took 20 minutes to even get drinks that were just cokes and when our order was delivered she didn’t have part of it and made us feel like we just didn’t order it. Couldn’t wait to get the check and even that took too long.

Love this place! Cute dining room with a classic feel, this feels like the kind of place I would have gone with my grandparents growing up. Delicious food, yummy drinks, wide menu. Steph was an outstanding server.

Food and service are always very good. They were able to accommodate us in a timely manner so we could have a leisurely meal and be done in time to make an 8:00 curtain at the theater.

Upon walking in, it makes you feel like you are down at the shore/beach vibes. The hostess was great, greeted us and sat us down. The server however is a different ball game. She has some attitude. Kept judging us and being very pushy. We ended up just doing soup and an app and left. Horrible service. We probably would never go back again.
