The Empire Rooftop is located on the top floor of the iconic Empire Hotel and overlooks the Lincoln Center complex. With over 8000 square feet of interior and exterior space, The Empire Rooftop has a seasonal open-air East Terrace, a West Terrace with a retractable roof cover, an Interior Main Lounge, and a seasonal Sun Deck. Enjoy our Signature Empire Sunset Cocktail, a light bite from our appetizer menu, and take a photo in front of the iconic neon sign to complete your experience.

Guests of all ages (accompanied by a Parent) are welcome on the roof until 8PM, when those under 21 must vacate.

I didn’t really expect much since I’ve only watched the Gossip Girl series once, but even though I liked how they gave us one pretty cool mocktail that allowed for a pretty awesome picture, the rest of the food felt very poor. The food tower took around 45 minutes until it got to our table, and they were just some simple and small sandwiches, a croissant and a few macarons. I went with my girlfriend and I would’ve definitely preferred just to get the cocktail, a few pictures and then order something else from the menu. Also didn’t seem like they really cared that we were there to get the experience, it felt like they were doing us a favor even though this cost 50 dollars per person.

Português Tive uma experiência terrível no Empire Rooftop em NY e preciso compartilhar. Fiz uma reserva com uma semana de antecedência, e o pagamento antecipado foi exigido. Quando cheguei ao local, nos colocaram em uma mesa alta logo na entrada de um bar fechado e informaram que o rooftop estava com um evento privado, ou seja, não teríamos acesso. Agora, me diga: qual é o sentido de reservar um "rooftop" e acabar preso em um bar comum e fechado? A sensação foi de total descaso com o cliente, sem nenhuma tentativa de solucionar a situação ou sequer um aviso prévio. Frustrante e desrespeitoso! English I had a terrible experience at the Empire Rooftop in NY, and I need to share it. I made a reservation a week in advance, and they required prepayment. When I arrived, they seated us at a high table right at the entrance of a closed bar and informed us that the rooftop was hosting a private event, so we wouldn’t have access. Now, tell me: what’s the point of booking a "rooftop" and being stuck in a regular closed bar? It felt like complete disregard for the customer, with no effort to resolve the situation or even provide prior notice. Frustrating and disrespectful!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry your experience didn’t meet expectations. Our rooftop has two terraces and a main lounge on the same floor. One terrace is open-air, and the other has a retractable roof for flexibility in varying weather. On the day of your visit, the open-air terrace was closed due to cold temperatures, and the covered terrace was reserved for a private event. As a result, guests were seated in our indoor lounge. We regret any disappointment this caused. Also, credit card information is requested only to secure reservations for cancellations, not for prepayment. We value your feedback and hope you’ll allow us to provide the full rooftop experience on your next visit. Please feel free to contact us directly for assistance!

While signs of wear and tear are showing in the rooms embarrassingly so, the bar is a gem! Please make time to go the the twelfth floor and enjoy the this gem.

Lovely spot, lounge vibes. Cocktails delish, food hit (burger sliders, fries, calamari) and miss (garlic shrimp- could have been amazing size of shrimp were big but topped with too much garlic ruined the dish).

The rooftop bar was everything and more! The food was great. The energy was good. It was so fun going to “The Chuck Bass Hotel”.
