   Delicious short and eclectic menu of food and wine. The kitchen (on show) is miniscule and the cooking of excellent quality. Attentive and knowledgeable service. Very warm and steamy though, they could do with an extract above the dishwasher, hence a mark down for ambience

   This has to be one of the most fabulous places I have eaten at for a long time. From the second we walked in the service was friendly, engaging and professional. The restaurant is small but gorgeous and you can see right in the kitchen. We had a lovely window bench seat. Personally I feel the best seat in the house. We were given menus and time to read through them. I had a couple of questions about drinks that were answered wonderfully and the recommendation for the negroni bianco was spot on, really not one to miss. The food was top class, delicious, beautifully presented and honestly it’s was better than some plates of food I’ve had in Italy. The wine list was wonderfully interesting, and plenty of choice. I would not hesitate to go back again, the regular changes to the menu move with the seasons. I can not rate this place any more highly 10/10 for service, food and atmosphere. Please keep doing what you are doing Emilia’s it’s was really appreciated by us.

   There are so many things that make Emilia special, from the generous vases of flowers to the separate vegetarian menu to the atmosphere and character of the old bank building. We were looked after extremely well by charming staff and enjoyed a delicious meal from the short but varied menu. Everything has been so well considered, it made for a perfect evening.

   Spectacular lunch and similarly top-notch service. We enjoyed sitting at the counter and watching the chefs prep the various dishes of food (although if it's comfort and relaxation you're after, I'd recommend trying to get a table). Delicious menu with interesting ingredients like offal, rabbit, skate and pickled veg, as well as their superb signature pasta, all expertly prepared. Helpful recommendations on choosing dishes and wine by the friendly waitresses.

   A wonderful evening full of comforting yet exciting eats and delicious wine. The restaurant has a homely and warm atmosphere with fabulous service.

   Delicious food, warm and informed service. Loved the pickled squash. Intimate setting, everything came out beautifully. Felt very looked after. What a gem.

   If ever you're in Ashburton, Emilia really is the place to dine. My Fiancée and I had an incredible time watching the dishes be prepared by Danny and George - flawless from start to finish. Every single plate was a delight to eat - will be coming back 100%, even for years to come!

    Everything was delicious, exciting combinations of ingredients. The fluffy Gorgonzola went so well with rhubarb, and the Lambs’ hearts, and duck ragu on pasta were so satisfying to eat. Unfussy, flavourful food and wine. Great service. Wish we could come every week.
