Ember Yard is the fourth restaurant from Salt Yard Group and has been influenced by our travels around Spain and Italy and their methods of cooking over charcoal and wood.

We commissioned and custom built a bespoke, Basque-style grill and sourced some amazing single species sustainable charcoal and wood from Kent to cook with. We use only the finest seasonal produce, and introduce – as has become our style – our spin on flavours of Spain and Italy.

Ember Yard is located in the heart of Soho and is a lovely two storey restaurant and bar, with an open plan kitchen on the ground floor and a cool and cosy bar on the lower ground floor. The same delicious menu is available throughout and we encourage you to come along before you dine to sample one of our specially created Ember-themed cocktails.

Food very bland….gambas pil pil had almost no taste. Have been here many times but this was such a disappointment this time

We chose Ember Yard because they had a set menu and we were specifically looking for one. Imagine our disappointment when we were told this menu was only available for 8 people or over - their website does not indicate this at all. They also ran a restricted a la carte on top of a sunday roast menu so there weren't many options to choose from. We opted in the end for a large plate of Jamon de bellota and some other smaller plates. The Jamon was sent back as it was cut way too thick, it was hard and tough due to the way it was cut and not edible. The courgette flower was decent (though perhaps a little too much honey?), the padron peppers were well cooked but hardly salted. The speciality croquetas were very nice. All in all, we felt incredibly disappointed with our visit, though the staff were very nice and very professional. Won't go back though, and it's a shame cause we've been to other Salt Yard Group restaurants and been quite happy.

Expensive for average food. Couple of dishes appalling. Tourched mackerel was a smoked mackerel fillet oven roasted until so dry almost inedible. Quickly removed and taken off bill with no hesitation which indicates they knew dish didn’t meet description. Shame as been previously and enjoyed but would not return

Really nice spot for pre “Hello Dolly” food. Nice tapas vibe and good food. Croquets and courgettes flower/goats cheese reccomended.

It is a wonderful dining experience with my friend. The dishes are well thought out with delightful mix of flavours. For instance, the octopus is well grilled and seasoned. The use of sauces and dressing for the salad is great - they really set you up for the right appetite for the main dishes.
