Ēma is a Mediterranean and California-inspired restaurant from Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants located at 1320 Patriot Blvd. The menu, crafted by Chef Partner CJ Jacobson features spreads, dips and assorted mezze, Mediterranean small plates, with an emphasis on Hummus & Spreads, Raw, Vegetables and Kebabs. Signature dishes include Moroccan Onion Dip, Spinach & Feta Spread, Tahini Caesar Salad, Octopus Carpaccio and Spicy Brisket Kefta Kebab.

The beverage program showcases cocktails with flavors crafted from Mediterranean ingredients like chinola, fig, fresno chile and coriander. The wine program, curated by Sommelier John C. Slatter, features a globally sourced list of over 70 selections with a strong focus on wineries practicing organic and natural production across the Mediterranean, including ancient grape varieties from Greece, Lebanon and Italy.

We had a great dinner, food was really good, the waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable. The reason for the lower review is that the bill was incorrect, we asked to redeem Lettuces entertain you points, the waitress made a mistake and didn't redeem points, I didn't even receive the points for the dinner, when we brought it up, she asked a manager and came back to say that they could not reverse the transaction.

Beautiful restaurant and ambiance. I could rave about that, but it’s the food. Every. Single. Bite. Perfection. And no matter what you eat- and there’s plenty to choose from- leave room for the date cake, which is the stuff dreams are made of.

Food is great. Service is ok. It always seems like their servers are a bit scattered and disorganized. It took forever to place our order and server seem to forget to place our appetizers order. This isn’t the 1st time service has been poor at Ema. I keep going back because the food is so good and have now come to expect low quality service .

Great food! But overpriced compared to other similar lettuce establishments (been a lettuce member for over a decade). E.g. one appetizer spear is ~$16-17, for an extremely small amount. No special preparation or presentations for higher price. Kebab entrees were the only things that seemed to be the value for money. Service was extremely slow, for a low key Saturday morning-- so can imagine what happens during peak dinner hours! Overall good experience, but less likely to go back cause of the over pricing and no "special experiences" attached to the higher prices!

Sweet corn hummus was the standout- so delicious, served slightly warmed, doesn't taste like hummus (in a good way). The spicy brisket kofta did not taste like brisket and was only 4 small pieces (smaller than chicken kabob), came with small onions (thought they were mini potatoes) and a cabbage slaw that was barely dressed- very crunchy, the chicken came with rice at least. When I googled the menu to remember the item name there used to be a lamb and beef kefta and that is what this dish tasted like. Mediocre at best plus was not "spicy" at all as indicated and came with a small dollop of bbq sauce on the side.

My family and I had a wonderful time celebrating my husband’s birthday and trying new dishes! Everything was delightful. Restaurant ambience was great, not too loud, music just right, food is healthy and delicious! We’ll definitely be returning since we live in Glenview!

Delicious food ! I had the crispy potatoes and they were the best potatoes I have had. Also great drink selection to go with all the great food choices .
