Benvenuti Nella Mia Cucina, Belli De Nonna! Before we dive into the delicious feast prepared for you, let me give you a little taste of my vita. I was born in the heart of Rome, and I've been cooking up a storm my entire life! My cucina has always been the center of the universe for my 3 daughters, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, their friends, loved ones, and acquaintances – everyone was always Benvenuto!

Now, we've brought that same love and flavor right here to San Diego. My beloved grandson, Niccolo', and his amore, Cesarina, are opening the doors of my Cucina with the same warm heart and passion.

Wondering how I made it to 95? Well, it's simple: I ate everything that's served here and filled my life with amore! So, Benvenuti! Don't hesitate to indulge in "Scarpetta" - dip that bread into the sauce, just like my grandchildren used to do at the stove when they thought I wasn't looking.

As always it was a pleasure to eat at Nonnas🫶🏻 I always know I can bring my guests and visitors here and Elvira will always deliver a pleasant experience to them with their lovely ambiance, friendly staff, and delicious food !

We were a party of 5 seated on time for our reservation. We saw our server 15-20 minutes after being seated. Ordered drinks/apps. Apps came in 10 minutes and drinks 20 minutes after ordering. Food was good but the overall waiting to start soured the experience.

Another fantastic meal at Elvira. Fantastic eggplant appetizer, tasty radicchio salad and exceptional pasta that was formerly a special and is now on the regular menu.

Amazing food and drinks and the service was great ! Definitely recommend and if you’re there on a Friday night you need to try the zucchini blossom filled with ricotta 🥰

They have a new menu (not what is posted online). We were looking forward to swordfish carpaccio and it is no longer on the menu. Did try a new pasta item with octopus which was good but the sauce was overwhelmed by the seafood taste. The fried olive appetizer was excellent. And the espresso mousse dessert was outstanding.

Check in was painless. Our reservation was set for 6:15 and we were seated within minutes of checking in. We were taken care of by Luis who was charming and hospitable. During this visit it was my wife’s birthday and I want to thank the staff for going out their way to make my wife feel special with the comp dessert and photo. I’m originally from NYC and grew up in an Italian household. This place felt very much like a family business which I admired.
