Benvenuti Nella Mia Cucina, Belli De Nonna! Before we dive into the delicious feast prepared for you, let me give you a little taste of my vita. I was born in the heart of Rome, and I've been cooking up a storm my entire life! My cucina has always been the center of the universe for my 3 daughters, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, their friends, loved ones, and acquaintances – everyone was always Benvenuto!

Now, we've brought that same love and flavor right here to San Diego. My beloved grandson, Niccolo', and his amore, Cesarina, are opening the doors of my Cucina with the same warm heart and passion.

Wondering how I made it to 95? Well, it's simple: I ate everything that's served here and filled my life with amore! So, Benvenuti! Don't hesitate to indulge in "Scarpetta" - dip that bread into the sauce, just like my grandchildren used to do at the stove when they thought I wasn't looking.

Here, Belli De Nonna, it’s all about food, family, and creating beautiful memories!

Absolutely, positively go to Elvira. It's a fabulous, cozy restaurant where you truly feel like you are an invited friend. The space is beautiful and the service is perfect. But the food is always the best part. Who knew that the best pizza in San Diego was at Elvira? I love pizza and honestly have not found any place in the County that makes a better pizza. I also love bucatini amatriciana and, again, no one makes it better. We ordered three entrees and shared them, with the third being the Wednesday night special, which was absolutely incredible. My mother in law (who is a critic of everything) couldn't stop raving about the meal. All three entrees and the special appetizer were as good as Italian food gets in San Diego. I will be back as soon as I possibly can.

Love the food here and the staff/service is always great. I was looking for a specific pizza I'd had months before, but the menu had been refreshed. They offered to make me the pizza I wanted (off menu), which was so nice. This is always a go-to for delicious and authentic Italian food.

I have dined here so many times, and each time, I am greeted with so much warmth and treated like royalty by the fabulous team. The service is impeccable and my favorite server, Soleil, remembers all me and my husband’s high maintenance dietary needs before I say anything! The food and cocktails are absolutely delicious and the ambiance is so cozy and funky. Definitely my favorite restaurant in San Diego! Look no further for excellent Italian cuisine.

Elvira has excellent food, ambience, and service. The prices are a little much and the noise is quite loud.

Service was very good, food was good, but on the expensive side for pasta, caprese salad was very good, meatballs just ok, not a lot of flavor, but a lot of breading, pasta was good, I prefer the sister restaurant Ceasarina, where you can pick your pasta and sauce combinations, no bread service, and $25 per bottle corkage fee which is high for an Italian restaurant,
