Elske means love in Danish, a nod to both David Posey’s Danish mother and the fact that the couple got engaged in Copenhagen. “Our travels in Denmark have really influenced us,” Chef Posey said. “We like that clean, simple aesthetic.” The dining room — all crisp lines, minimalist décor & soft lighting — is anchored by a wide open kitchen on one side & a small patio with a working fireplace on the other. Combined with the friendly service, it creates the impression that you’re eating in a supremely tasteful Scandinavian friend’s weekend home.

We went here just a couple hours after getting engaged, which we told the staff about half an hour before we arrived. Everyone was super friendly and congratulatory and the food was delicious as always; it was a perfect experience. We’re so happy we came to Elske for our engagement dinner! Will always recommend

This might be our first Michelin experience that missed the mark. My wife and I had the Chef’s Menu with matching wine paring. The service was unenthusiastic and we were nickel and dimed on everything we asked for. We left hungry and for what we spent was certainly one of the worst values we have experienced. The location is adorable but we found the food, service and value lacking.

Elske was absolutely divine and laid back. The ingredients were premium and unexpected, and the staff were amazing. Thank-you, chefs!

We have had many great meals at Elske, but this one stood out! The desserts were breathtaking.

We had another great experience dining at Elske. This was our first time ordering from the à la carte menu. The food was excellent. The Wilde Weide aged gouda, "Rullepølser", grilled octopus, yeasted chickpea pancake with smoked trout, and sunflower seed parfait were particularly delicious. Our terrific server paired each course with juices from the tasting menu non-alcoholic pairing menu, and they complemented the food very well. The kitchen easily accommodated my wheat allergy. The staff were great. We look forward to returning.

The longest wait time for food I’ve seen in years! We were there for 2.5 hours for a three course meal. Waited an hour past our reservation to be seated then waited 45 minutes between apps and sides and then another 45 minutes between sides and main. The food was good but not worth the wait time. Glad we didn’t try and book a show for after dinner… I don’t know if they were having kitchen trouble or what was going on, but we never received an apology, so I can only guess this is the norm.

Great dinner last night. Service and food weee both outstanding. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and that made it a special night.

Only the nearby techno concert was a distraction from the beautiful surrounding, garden and food.

Our expectations for the food may have been too high. We got the tasting menu. Most dishes *were* delicious, but others lacked either flavor or presentation (smoked fruit tea, tuna and tomato), OR were overly salty (halibut) for our tastes. If you get the panna cotta, scrape off the lavendar flavored sorbet on top- it completely overpowers the dish. Also we didn’t agree with the wine pairings, which for the 1st 3 courses we felt clashed with the food. Pairings for the steak/sausage course and dessert were great. The ambiance and service were fantastic, so we had a great evening, just had been expecting a bit more.
