Elske means love in Danish, a nod to both David Posey’s Danish mother and the fact that the couple got engaged in Copenhagen. “Our travels in Denmark have really influenced us,” Chef Posey said. “We like that clean, simple aesthetic.” The dining room — all crisp lines, minimalist décor & soft lighting — is anchored by a wide open kitchen on one side & a small patio with a working fireplace on the other. Combined with the friendly service, it creates the impression that you’re eating in a supremely tasteful Scandinavian friend’s weekend home.

Completely unique and special dishes. The selections for the tasting menu were superb.

Beautiful, interesting dishes. Unique cocktails, small enough for us to try a number of them. Publican Sourdough and butter, as well as the endive salad & sturgeon were outstanding. Hannah was perfect with her service and care of us. Highly recommend

Incredible experience. Besides the culinary art being spectacular, I was so appreciate of the staff allowing us to experience each dish without “asking” how everything is. It allowed us to naturally process and enjoy each dish.

For me Elske is a favorite because of the simplicity of the food. I went to a whisky dinner, but I realized maybe simple flavored dishes may be overwhelmed by whisky. So, I was a little disappointed, but I made good acquaintances. The chicken croquette was really salty, the sturgeon dish was my favorite, lamb tartare was superb, but the tuna dish had too much going on that I disliked it. I am not ready to give up on Elske. I will return.

Had the set menu and wine pairing and thoroughly enjoyed every bite and sip! Also had the sourdough which was delicious.

I was there on a business dinner. I had convinced my 2 other diners that Elske was my favorite restaurant. I was certainly embarrassed. Our dishes arrived cold. The dish that was referenced to as, 'similar to prosciutto' was fatty and had no flavor. I was sadly disappointed. I have dined at Elske more than 10 times and never was disappointed.

Had a great experience at Elske. Food and service were great. However, we were celebrating my girlfriends birthday and unfortunately there was no recognition despite having added it to the reservation notes. With a place of this caliber I would’ve expected some form of recognition or special birthday element. I wasn’t expecting a free dessert or anything but just a simple ‘happy birthday’ would’ve been a nice touch.

Typical pricey Michelin style menu and restaurant. Not outstanding or super groundbreaking but good. Dining room feels cramped in seating but strangely empty too..? Glad to try it, but don't think we'll go back.
