Elske means love in Danish, a nod to both David Posey’s Danish mother and the fact that the couple got engaged in Copenhagen. “Our travels in Denmark have really influenced us,” Chef Posey said. “We like that clean, simple aesthetic.” The dining room — all crisp lines, minimalist décor & soft lighting — is anchored by a wide open kitchen on one side & a small patio with a working fireplace on the other. Combined with the friendly service, it creates the impression that you’re eating in a supremely tasteful Scandinavian friend’s weekend home.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience - the food, service, and space were all incredible. We’ll keep Elske in mind when we need a special meal in the future.

A lovely fall evening on their beautiful patio. Delicious food- the trout pancake was really a trout pancake!

Was expecting a Michelin experience and unfortunately it fell very flat. The food was fine, the timing between meals was terrible. Waitress barely said a single word. I will say the ambiance is quite nice, but won’t be returning for close to $300 for 2 people.

The wonderful food was marred by indifferent and somewhat dismissive service. For a restaurant of this caliber that prides itself on innovative food, I would expect some enthusiasm about the actual meal. It took determined questioning on our part to get a any sort of explanation of the items, and his responses did nothing to encourage any particular selections. It was almost like everything's good, why are you bothering me with these questions. The server did make eye contact, but didn't seem to really care that he was "serving" us. Other staff members would drop dishes off, say the name, and then disappear. I wouldn't mind this at a typical restaurant, but given the nature of the items, a little detail about the dish would have been appreciated. Another time a manager, I think, was at our table and walked away while I was still speaking to her. It often took several tries to get someone's attention to refill water glasses, and I had to bother the table next to us when trying to get our server's attention for something else. We were seated outside in a beautiful garden/patio, and the food was truly one of the best meals I've had a in a long time. Despite the service, I would return in a heartbeat, but the service--what a disappointment--and I certainly didn't leave feeling that we were valued as patrons.

We had the set menu. From the courtyard to the restaurant, you felt the positive energy. The staff at check in were cheerful and respectful. Mara, our server was amazing and so down to earth. We talked and laughed all night. My nephew ordered a drink and it was fantastic. Kudos to the mixologist. The chefs were so professional. Excellent presentation and service. We loved the visual artistry and various tastes and textures of each course. The creativity was off the charts. The lamb tartare was insane. The tuna with tomatoes and the halibut with clams were fresh and clean tasting. The combination of ingredients to create new experiences was so innovative. Each course was so different and amazing. I was so immersed into each dish, I forgot to take a photo of every course. For dessert, you must order the raspberry with meringue and skyr. Your tastebuds will thank you. Our dinner at Elske was the highlight of our trip and anniversary. Unforgettable experience.

Our first time at Elske, we got the tasting menu. No misses in the tasting menu and the na pairing that went along with it matched wonderfully. At the end tried a homemade schnapp and an extra dessert of the skyr. Will be back again when the menu changes.

We had a great experience doing the set menu with the additional wine tasting. It took about an hour and 45 mins start to finish and had a good pace. The staff was friendly too!
