Nice restaurant and atmospheres. Salads and apps were good but main courses were swimming in sauce and pasta was just ok. Good cocktails and a nice wine selection.

Friendly and efficient service, although server had a difficult time opening our wine bottle, snapping the cork. Food was good...we enjoyed the mozzarella sticks, eggplant parmigiana, and Caesar salad. We enjoyed the chicken parmigiana and pork entrees for dinner. Nice modern decor, good location. I'd return.

Our waitress, Savanna was amazing!!!Drinks were beautiful and delicious… so appreciated them acknowledging my husband’s b-day. Food was delicious! Will definitely be back!

Very good New York Italian food. Large portions. Excellent flavor. Loved the salads and shrimp scampi. Salmon excellent. Only negative was the spaghetti marinara was just a bit too salty. Excellent wine list. Competent friendly service. Validated valet parking and was able to leave car there during the symphony. We'll be back.

I’ll start by saying the food was incredible! We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. 5 stars for the food. However, there were a few reasons we won’t go back. 1. It was so loud inside we felt like we had to yell just to talk across the table. 2. It took 45 minutes to get our martini delivered. 3. The meal came out before the salad (we ended up cancelling the salad). 4. The wine we ordered early on came out when our meal was almost finished (I had one bite of steak remaining when the wine arrived). 5. The final issue we had was with the martinis. I don’t expect to pay anything less than $17-19 for a Tito’s martini. However, the martini was $26. When we questioned the price the waitress said it was because we asked specifically for Tito’s (which is good vodka, but by no means top shelf). She said that when you order a Tito’s martini you get 3 oz instead of 1.5. Not that I’m mad about a 3 oz martini, but that should have been disclosed. In addition to that my wondering is do they bring half full martinis out if you don’t specify the type of vodka?? It is a poor restaurant policy that I simply don’t understand. Overall, I’ll reiterate the food was incredible! I would eat the food again in a heartbeat. However, we will not return to the restaurant for the other reasons listed. I’ve had equally good food at other places that aren’t super loud and don’t up charge an auto double price on a mid shelf vodka martini.

Awesome food and service, ambience was a little lacking due to the volume. This is a hip and beautiful restaurant just very very loud! We should have sat outside! Everything else was great!

Delicious food in an inviting atmosphere. Energetic, but not rowdy patrons. I recommend the salmon piccata; so flavorful! Perfect location for dining prior to attending a concert at the Schermerhorn.

We had an incredible dining experience at Ella with a group of 7! The food was absolutely amazing - every dish showcased authentic Italian flavors and was perfectly prepared. Our server Matt went above and beyond with his attentive and professional service, making sure our large group was well taken care of throughout the evening. He provided excellent recommendations and timing was perfect. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for our group dinner. Definitely a 5-star experience all around - from the exceptional cuisine to the outstanding service. Would highly recommend Ella for both intimate dinners and group gatherings.

The hostess did not acknowledge that this was a Birthday reservation which was disappointing but our server was fantastic! We had a group of four and looked forward to trying the mozzarella sticks and meatballs as appetizers. The mozzarella sticks and meatballs come out as serving for 3 so it was awkward as not enough for 4 people in each order but they were good yet pricey. The fusilli ala vodka is a very heavy pasta but sauce is good. The butternut squash pasta in brown butter Sage sauce was our favorite dish and the pork chop was also good. In total the food was good and I enjoyed celebrating my Birthday here. I'd order more of the mozzarella sticks next time....they were that good!
