Eliot & Vine offers an array of dining experiences. Have a seat in the main room along the bright windows, or at our beautiful marble top bar. Our semi-private ‘Frolic Room’, boasting exquisite work by renowned artist Jean Bradbury, is perfect for group dinners or a quiet date night. Or, watch the chefs work their magic while you sit at the kitchen counter. Eliot & Vine was designed by Breakhouse. European favourites get a unique twist inspired by the seasons and ever-changing market offerings. Our extensive wine list features classics you love, and unique gems waiting to be discovered - from around the world or local vineyards. We have hand-crafted cocktails and a selection of European bottled beer, while the draught taps showcase our love of home. We are happy to accommodate special requests, such as a gluten-free or vegetarian meal. Don’t hesitate to ask anyone on our team, and be sure to let us know if you have any food allergies or sensitivities.

Elliot & Vine always takes care of its clients, not rushing us, quietly observing our needs like a water top up or still drinking wine so not ready for the bill. It wasn’t noisy, always pleasant.

The location is a bit out of the way, but totally worth it. We had dinner for 4 on a Saturday night when the restuarant was booked for a private event (wedding?) The restaurant was still able to accomodate guest outside on the patio. We ordered Tuna Tartar, Shimp Toast and Mussels, all of which were very good. We ordered the Short Ribs, Halibut and Veal Shnitzel as mains ... the standout being the Shnitzel, with the Short Ribs being close behind. Finished with a few Crème Brûlées. We also enjoyed the in-house made Italian sodas. The cost of our dinner was high (this is not an everyday restaurant, and should be saved for special occassions), but the food did not disappoint. Lovely evening, thank you!

I hadn’t heard of this restaurant before. I found it on Google and chose it because I could walk from my hotel. When I got there I was pleasantly surprised to find a chic restaurant with a great atmosphere. The menu was amazing and the server was very helpful recommending wine and different menu options. The schnitzel with the cheese sauce was unbelievable. I would definitely go back to this restaurant next time I’m in Halifax.

Our experience was outstanding at Eliot & Vine. Our server was energetic, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly. The food was next level flavorful, and the presentation was superb. We will definitely be back!!

The service, food, wine and atmosphere at Eliot&Vine never disappoints. Whether it is a place to enjoy casual cocktails and appetizers after work at happy hour or a special occasion Eliot&Vine is consistently wonderful. The staff are accommodating, pleasant and so knowledgeable always. I have enjoyed the small and large plate offerings depending upon my appetite. I never miss an opportunity to enjoy the fresh oysters. The wine and cocktail list is thoughtfully selected. Eliot&Vine has a casual feel and welcoming atmosphere that I always appreciate. I highly recommend E&V.

Awesome spot, lived in HRM the last decade and always knew about this spot but only checked out Eliot & Vine last night, awesome food and drinks - highly recommend.

Had a fab dinner at the bar. Halibut was delicious. Staff were pleasant and attentive. The Grande Margarita also delish.
