    Elephante in Santa Monica never disappoints! We had an incredible date night here, enjoying both the beautiful ambiance and top-tier service. We started with the tuna tartare and calamari, both fresh and perfectly seasoned. For mains, we shared the ribeye and the pasta with lobster, which were absolutely outstanding—the steak was cooked to perfection, and the pasta was rich and flavorful. To top it off, our drinks were spot-on. The vodka martini was crisp and smooth, the Old Fashioned wasn’t that strong and was a too sweet. A huge shoutout to Andrea, our server, who made our experience even better! She was warm, attentive, and made great recommendations. It’s always nice to be welcomed by someone who truly cares about the guests. Elephante is hands down one of the best spots in Santa Monica for a romantic night out. Can’t wait to come back.

    Food was great! Ambiance was good but service was well below par. Original waiter did not pace appetizers and all three came almost in one shot. A food runner basically just dropped a plate on the table and had to come back to tell us what it was and then we waited for another 5 mins for that ticket to complete making the veggie almost cold. Would go back to just see how the sunset looks but not for the service.

    Élephante is a great place to go. The bar scene is superb. Although this time I didn’t go to the bar, and had a sit-down dinner with a friend, we felt the food was little bit more on the salty / lemon side a bit. Other than that, everything was great. The drinks were excellent.

    Too loud to speak comfortably with table mates. Food was good though. My throat is sore from screaming through dinner convo.

    We came for a birthday dinner expecting to be seated at a typical table, however, the table we were placed at was lounge style, where the seating was considerably far from the food. This makes it difficult to eat comfortably if you’re wearing a dress, skirt, etc. We had two waiters—the first was exceptional and made everyone feel at ease. The second was not as welcoming and made it clear that we weren’t the priority. Above all, the food was amazing and everyone thoroughly enjoyed what they ate.

    We were seated at probably the worst table in the sunset room and were in between the kitchen and the espresso bar. There were workers constantly walking by us the entire time we were there and we had absolutely no view of the sunset. I’ve been to Elephante probably 7 times and this experience makes me want to never return. We also asked the hostess if there were any other options and she said she could check with the manager and look into moving us and even when better tables sat empty they never moved us. Bad management and bad planning.

    Still had to wait 30 minutes after our reservation and we ended up getting sat at a table that was empty since we got there. Otherwise everything else was perfect.

    We made the reservation a few days in advance, but there were no tables inside we seated outside on a balcony, and yes, there was a heat lamp, but it was extremely cold. The tables were low and the seats were uncomfortable.
