Channeling the spirit and cuisine of coastal southern Italy, Élephante aims to transport guests from Los Angeles to the Southern Mediterranean with stunning ocean views and dramatic sunsets, all whilst staying in the heart of Santa Monica.

Three bars on the property offer a variety of delicious, hand-crafted cocktails, as well as an extensive wine list. Élephante Beach House is full of custom furniture and design touches that surround the guests with natural wood and stone, copper finishes and design pieces from Northern Africa and Southern Italy.

With stunning ocean views and dramatic sunsets, guests are reminded of favorite summer vacations past, where a tranquil afternoon drink can turn into a memorable dinner or a late-night dance.

Please note for parties up to 4 guests will have the tables for an hour and half. Parties larger than 4 guest you will have the table for up to two hours.

Join us oceanside for stunning sunset views and a 5-course family-style meal inspired by the Italian Coast with some of your favorites including the Élephante cocktail, whipped eggplant, the spicy vodka pasta and much much more. Accompanied by our DJ spinning an eccentric playlist of global rhythms, each bite will transport you directly to the Southern Mediterranean.     We were looking for a place in Santa Monica after visiting the Getty Center. I found Elephante on Open Table, and the food was excellent. We did not receive our appetizer until after our main course, but that was partly because our mains came out of the kitchen so fast. Definitely would go there again.

    Perfect spot, food and service but VERY VERY loud place to have dinner. Louder than a concert at Sofi Stadium … for the rest, superb experience worthing the price

    We waited 35 mins past our reservation to be seated. I specifically booked our time slot to catch the sunset but we barely caught the end of it which was disappointing. Thankfully the manager rectified the situation for us. But it was still inconvenient. Inside was a little loud so we all had to speak up to hear each other . The couch we sat on to eat needed more pillows for back support so it wasn’t the most comfortable place to eat. Other than that it was great food and ambiance .

    Nice interior and atmosphere, but the food and service are mediocre. We waited for over 20 mins to get a simple drink. The food was served quickly, but we were not impressed with the taste. Still a nice place for socializing with your friends/family, but keep your expactations low for food and service.

    Overall excellent....Food, drinks, & service. However on the 'noice level' rating you do not have a choice of WAY TO LOUD !!! If you there to talk, meet a date or converse, You are no able to if you are seated in the middle section. If you want to hear your guests, ask to be seated in the front garden section or beyond the wall in the sunset room. The area by the second bar is way to loud !

    I love coming here because the food and service is good, but the inside can get really loud and you can be seated less than a foot from a stranger. Besides that I like it a lot and will always go back hoping for outdoor seating!

    The hostesses were extremely rude, giving my family dirty looks the entire time. Made us wait 30 minutes after our reservation time and kept letting other parties, groups of 2/5/6/7, ahead of us. They sat us (group of 6) on a table that only fit 5 people. We specifically asked to sit anywhere but the bar area on the top floor and that's where they placed us. The waiter was great. I didn't get his name but we really appreciate his service. It seemed like he was the only person there who didn't have a problem with Muslims. The way everyone else treated us was very low and obvious.
