Channeling the spirit and cuisine of coastal southern Italy, Élephante aims to transport guests from Los Angeles to the Southern Mediterranean with stunning ocean views and dramatic sunsets, all whilst staying in the heart of Santa Monica.

Three bars on the property offer a variety of delicious, hand-crafted cocktails, as well as an extensive wine list. Élephante Beach House is full of custom furniture and design touches that surround the guests with natural wood and stone, copper finishes, and design pieces from Northern Africa and Southern Italy. We also offer lounge seating for larger table sizes, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the ambiance in comfort.

**PLEASE NOTE:**
For parties up to 4 guests will have the tables for an hour and half. Parties larger than 4 guest you will have the table for up to two hours.

I usually never write a review, however, I implore every single person who reads this to try out the venue. The food, ambience, and hospitality are out of this world.

The food and ambiance at the restaurant were truly excellent, creating a wonderful dining experience. Our waiter was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. However, the greeting service at the entrance left something to be desired, as they weren’t particularly welcoming or helpful when we arrived.

I’d like to preface with saying I’ve been to Elephante well over 20 times over 2.5 year and brought $1000s in business here by bringing first time visitors with me almost every time I go. This is my favorite place in Santa Monica. The experience I had last night was nothing short of awful. We ordered eggplant dip, soppressata pizza, virgin mojitos, cacio e Pepe pasta and pesto pasta. The egg plant came about 10 min after ordering with the pizza about 10-15 min after. Drink came quick as well. Then after that we were stuck waiting about 30 min for our pasta with no appearance from our waiter who ended up being switched out mid shift without notice. We asked a random waiter where our pasta was and he was obviously annoyed and said he would find our waiter. 1 min later our pasta appears except they bring put pesto and vodka pasta. We tell them we got Cacio e Pepe and they ask again, pasta or pizza. They leave the pesto but since I’m on a date, I’m going to wait until my counter part gets their meal. After about 10 min they bring out her pasta and it just does not taste good. The spaghetti is not fully cooked and the sauce is off. The pesto also just did not taste right and since I’ve had it over 10 times and I tell people often, it is one of my favorite pasta dishes specifically from this restaurant. To top it all off, we box our food barely finished bc we aren’t just going to throw it away, maybe our roommates or relatives will eat it, the waiter says, do you want dessert or just the check. I get the check out my card down, then my date goes to the bathroom. She come back and still the check has not been grabbed. We wait a few more minutes, until we see our new waiter talking to her coworkers. So bad my date had to actually walk my credit to the waitress at the pay terminal. TLDR; service and food here has gone extremely downhill. Used to be the best bang for your buck with a view and now it seems like a cash grab. Better to go to Forma where you’ll be valued.

Went for a girls lunch! It was delicious & our waitress Was so knowledgeable! Helped us choose a wine & helped navigate the menu! Honestly a great experience- sat next to a fabulous couple. Over all a great time in Santa Monica. Can’t wait to return. We enjoyed the eggplant dip- Brussels salad & a pasta. A dream come true.

Everyone & Everything from Being Greeted & Welcomed , throughout our meal & as we left where Exceptional . Food , Service , attention to detail where 5 Star & everyone whether assigned to our table or not worked as a team & made it a great experience from beginning to end

The pasta was great and so was the dessert. Drinks were eh, service was terrible. Our server barely even checked up on us.
