Elephant Bar Restaurant brings tropical dining to the neighborhood. The Bar and restaurant place stays true to its name in terms of its setting. Despite having a comfortable seating arrangement and a spacious foray, the tropical theme is evident in the place. It has mock trees placed strategically across the Elephant Bar Restaurant. There is a large Elephant statue whose head and foot are attached to one wall overseeing the dining place. The seating and decoration strips on the wall follow a zebra stripe pattern of black and white. There are parking facilities for diners to enjoy and the menu on offer is inviting. The standout dishes on the Elephant Bar Restaurants menu include Beef Teriyaki, Cajun Albacore and Hamachi Kama.

We had salads that were very good but are expensive. Large open area to kitchen and bar so very loud. Service was fantastic.

We ordered two shrimp soups, pot roast and salmon tempura rolls. They took our order 15 mins after we arrived even though it was ghost ville at 9:30. They returned to ask what we would like to substitute for mashed potatoes as they had run out. 10 minutes later they said they were out of salmon. Our soups were good. We ordered the same thing and they tasted 100% different. And I ended up with a side of oily pasta they called Mac n cheese. Bummer.

I had the blackened Cajun chicken which was way too salty and the chicken was very thin and tiny cutlets. They recooked the chicken with less blackening spice and it was less flavorful, still salty, and still small and thin cutlets. The Cajun flavored rice with sausage had maybe two tiny pieces of sausage. The small side of sautéed spinach was the best part of the dish. The server credited my entree which we appreciated.

I had the noodle broth bowl w/shrimp and salmon on the side. The dish tasted good but the plating made it difficult to eat and not as enjoyable. Like typical noodle broth bowls, they are served in deeper bowls as opposed to a very wide, shallow bowl as this was served, which made the dish and noodles difficult to eat (chopsticks work better than a fork) and the broth got cold. I also tried to sign up for the rewards program, and the Mgr seemed distracted and detained. It took her a long time to connect me with a hostess to help me, and then their dysfunctional wifi was unable to sign me up... A long wait time for an unsuccessful sign up.

Reservation through OpenTable was easy and quick. We were seated promptly after arriving. No waiting. Server was tentative and polite. Dishes were served quickly and foods were cooked to order. Overall impression and dining experience at this restaurant is very satisfactory.

Food was good but not great. I wanted sausage instead of bacon with my brunch but you were all out. I will not return again just because I have so many other choices for brunch.

We enjoyed our dinner at Elephant Bar. Food was very good except for undercooked rice. I had the Shrimp and Chicken Jambalaya, a favorite. Cocktails were delicious, I loved the Rojo Sangria. Table next to us had 4 small children under the age of 6. We should have asked to move because they were out of control, running around and yelling; certainly ruined the ambiance for us.

We have been going to the Elephant Bar, Cupertino for years and always enjoy good, friendly service and well-prepared food. The menu is varied, although not a large as it used to be, and the bar is very well stocked with the current popular brands and cocktails. I appreciate the lighter options that are available. The steamed vegetables were particularly good this last visit. I recommend reservations during weekends/other high traffic times, because the wait can get a bit long.
