The West of Irelands first Elephant and Castle is finally here! Located less than a minute walk from Galway’s City Centre, Eyre Square, you can find the restaurant on the ground floor of the newly built Dean.
A beautiful large island bar is the centrepiece of this space, with specially commissioned hand-crafted stitched leather panels. It is a local gathering place for family and friends.

                                                                                                                              There was 3 other people in the whole restaurant so I would have expected the service to be great. It was poor, we had to get out of our seat to go to the bar to ask to be served a drink. The burgers we ordered were sliding around the plate and not well presented. So disappointing the week before Christmas

                                                                                                                              Lunch yesterday in Elephant and Castle was incredible! Our server Rochelle was so lovely and gave us some great drinks recommendations. I have had quite a few chicken wings in my life and these were some of the best I’ve ever had!

                                                                                                                              We have always enjoyed the food on every other occasion. Yesterday, the chicken wings were disappointing as in the past have been class. On the main courses. The two chicken burgers were very dry and overcooked, and the fish was just all a greasy batter. The chips on the 3 plates were all soggy and cold. It was disappointing to have travelled, especially for dinner and the food to be below par on where it was before.

                                                                                                                              Staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and attentive. Atmosphere was excellent. However the food was only OK considering what you're paying.

                                                                                                                              Lovely place and very friendly staff but so unorganised. Staff kept disappearing so couldn't get anyone to serve the table for 30 mins. Then 3 would all come at once! Food came out cold, kids ice cream was lumpy. No attention to detail. Needs a manager

Chicken burger wasn’t fully cooked. No apology, a different meal was then ordered. No apology at till or any deduction from bill offered (we didn’t ask for deduction however). 2 emails sent to give feedback instead of public review, no responses.
