Welcome to Elena's -- a place where a family’s love for authentic Mexican food is celebrated and combined with California-inspired elements and signature Mexican-American dishes. We offer reservations for up to 8 guests via OpenTable. At the time of your reservation, we kindly request the entire party be present to be seated. Tables will be held for up to 10 minutes after the reservation time. For parties that arrive later, the table will be released but we will do our best to accommodate the reservation with the next available table. Reservation requests via phone or email are not available at this time. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you to Elena’s!

    Food was very good. Service was good but food took 1/2 hour. Nice ambience. Only issue is value. Very expensive. No drinks one appetizer three people $150

    Wow!!!! What a change! I was there around months ago. My waiter was a jerk! He's gone. So glad. I think he was a fluke. Everyone in there is so polite and on the ball. A-1 service. Previously, our waiter we with a zero personality rushed us. So unprofessional. Portions are BIG! Food is fresh. Will definitely go back.

    What a beautiful restaurant! Amazing service , the food was delicious. Great presentation. Had to wait several weeks to get a reservation for dinner that wasn’t 8:30 or later. Overall great value. I would definitely go again hopefully not having to wait so long for a reservation

    Cute place, tables are small and close together. It’s very popular and crowded which creates a high noise level. Good service though our order got a little goofed up- we solved it ourselves by trading the items that were misplated. Food was nicely presented though very expensive for pretty basic Mexican fare. Tasty but unremarkable. Guac was $$$ for a ton -good but not great. A nice place but pricing is prohibitive for enchiladas and tacos. 100 for 2, no alcohol, no desert, before tip.

    Had an amazing evening. We didn’t have a reservation and they were fully booked this Saturday evening. We showed up about 4:30p hoping to squeeze in early but no go. They said it would probably be a 3 hour wait and that’s only if they get a cancellation. We decided to just find a spot at the bar. Ordered some margaritas and guacamole & chips. Then we ordered some calamari which were delicious. We were having a great time at the bar and we’re about to order some dinner, and then at about 6:15p they called us to let us know they had a table for us. We went to our table ordered food, and enjoyed the rest of our evening. AMAZING FOOD!!!”

    This is the third time we’ve eaten there and the food was only so so. Kind of disappointing.

    Phenomenal food and service Whoever manages this restaurant has thought out every single detail. I read reviews of a mean hostess and poor service but i did not experience any of that. 10 out of 10 recommend you stop in and visit

    Finally scored a reservation here after many, many failed attempts. The first thing you notice is how gorgeous this space is. Open ceiling, full bar along one side of the wall, a combination of tables and booths...what a place! Service was excellent, and the food was top-notch. There's a great mix of classic Mexican fare combined with lesser-known dishes for those with a discerning palate. Alcoholic drinks are also top-notch. Some might consider the prices steep, but to me it seems pretty fair for a high-end restaurant in the City. I highly recommend Elena's in West Portal.

    Food is yummy. Restaurant was super noisy. The music was really loud. It was also cold - it’s 55 degrees out and the door was wide open and they had to ask their manager if they could close it!?

    Our third time eating here. Food continues to be top notch. Service was excellent. It is very noisy-you almost have to shout to be heard. Bar offerings continue to be heavy in tequila drinks. I would like to see a sangria added to the choices.
