Executive Chef Scott Anderson chose the name "elements" for the restaurant because he is passionate about sourcing fresh, local, organic ingredients and sustainably raised meats and seafood. He wants the very elements of your meal to play a major role in the taste of it. Then he and his team work to reveal the complementary flavor dimensions inherent in the elements by skillfully combining them—often in edgy new ways. Restaurant menus change constantly here, making this the dinner restaurant that is excitingly different every time you return.

If you're a foodie, you want to know where—and how--your food grew. It's fascinating, it's a good health practice and it provides extra pleasure from everyday experiences, like a meal with friends. elements is the American restaurant serving local steak and seafood, but with global influences in seasoning and cooking methods. Only true haute cuisine in NJ. Truly worth the trip even on route 206.

What an incredibly experience! Caroline was so knowledgeable, as well as the two other gentlemen that served us. Every bite of every course offered exciting and different combination of flavors that left us in awe. The wines that were paired with each course complimented the bites beautifully. Cannot wait to come back.

I love the restaurant more than others in my family. Food is usually excellent. My only issue with last night (and I understand I had made the booking less than 24 hrs earlier) was that replacing a steak/beef course (for non-beef eaters) with a third fish course is not the best idea. For a restaurant like Elements, they should find lamb (or pork/chicken). In addition, Kimchi is too strong for many palettes.

A very disappointing experience, we've tried to find quality food in NJ compared to the Michelin starred restaurants in NYC so gave Elements a shot. The food was very underwhelming, dishes were incoherent and the service was poor for such a limited number of tables. We did the wine pairing which was similarly poorly chosen and executed (Sake served mid meal was really strange), first couple of glasses were poured heavily at the start, they eventually adjusted. The menu was very seafood heavy which I didn't mind, but the quality and taste left a lot to be desired. Dishes were over seasoned and undercooked as other reviews have pointed out. The waygu beef was extremely fatty, potatoes had a glue like texture. Kimchi and panna Cotta does not belong together. The hamachi and salmon were both undercooked. The desert was too heavy and rich just like everything else, the ice cream tasted like melted cheesecake. As for the ambience the decor was dated, there were mosquitoes flying around throughout. They should not be charging this much ($600) for such a poor experience, try Common Lot in Milburn for a much better experience. We'll continue to search NJ for quality restaurants, but Elements left a bad taste in our mouths in more ways than one.

Took the family for graduation celebration for my daughter. Family absolutely loved it. The ambiance was fantastic. The service was impeccable. The food was aesthetically pleasing and tasted great! They went above and beyond what was expected by all the staff signing a card to congratulate my daughters graduation. Can't wait to go back!! Many thanks to chef Anderson and the staff of Elements...

This was our second time to Elements and as expected our dining experience was exquisite! Each course - starting with the Amuse Bouche - was perfectly timed and the chef outperformed his stellar reputation. The ingredients in each course complemented each other to create a dish that was just tantalizing to our taste buds. One after another we were delighted to be presented with yet another masterpiece and as a result our dinner was - as previously stated - a perfect dining experience that will not soon be forgotten!!

The food was good as usual but we encountered really poor service by a waiter called Sam who was obnoxious and provided terrible service. He had a moustache and long hair (in case the restaurant is not certain as to what Server is being referred to here). When reminded that we asked for butter about 30 minutes ago, his answer was “ I heard you previously lady”. Later when asked why he was pouring only about 1/2 an ounce or less of wine that we paid about 80 dollars for pairing with each course for each person (literally one sip with each course was being served), his answer was “Don’t snap at me”. For 80 dollars each that we paid for wine pairing, we got 1/2 an ounce of 3 white wines and one red. I would not have tipped him as he ruined our Mother’s Day outing but the bill included over 150 dollars in service charge. They didn’t give us a chance to even show displeasure for poor service. There’s absolutely no room for this kind of behaviour or service by a waiter at a fine dining restaurant !!

Food elements were spot on. Was called in advance to confirm reservations and was asked if any celebration is in order. Proceeded to inform staff of 2 birthdays and was told we will acknowledge this. When dessert arrived no mention thereof. Was very disappointed!!!
