Chef Eric, a Spruce Pine, NC, native and a fixture on Asheville’s local food scene for over 15 years, brings his signature culinary talents as well as his love of seasonal, Appalachian, and heritage-raised ingredients to every dish on the menu.

Our light-filled & airy North Asheville restaurant features new American cuisine that focuses on an ingredients-driven menu, natural wine, craft coffee & cocktails.

Lunch: Wednesday-Friday 11am-4pm
Dinner: Wednesday-Sunday 5pm-9pm
Brunch: Saturday & Sunday ONLY 9am-2:30pm
Pizza Night: Monday 3pm-the dough runs out!

Food was delicious, so much so that we cancelled a reservation later in the week to return! Service was spot on

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Asheville! We originally booked for 4 pple, and then increased to 6, to an outside table. When we arrived the host double checked and we were able to sit inside, which was lovely. The restaurant was super loud - two large groups of guests. We had someone with us that is hard of hearing and it was really difficult for them to communicate. Our server was charming and on point. The menu was far more limited than previously. The burgers were delicious and the pickled shrimp spring rolls were yummy!

First our party of 4 changed our table twice before settling on one that was comfortable. We are not large people and the tables for 4 are tight. Our server was friendly, but after serving our meals never returned to the table to ask if we needed anything or how our meals were. 1 meal- the hamburger was good. The other 3 meals were so oversalted and herbed that they were unpalatable. When the plates were removed and the waitress saw the bowls still full, she asked if we wanted them to go, we laughed and said no. Again, no inquiry about why we had not eaten our 30+ $ apiece meals. After we paid the bill ( we were not expecting compensation) it was mentioned to let the chef know about their overuse of salt and herbs. For the price, there are far better choices in Asheville for dinner.

Eggs "Benny" was excellent. Sat outside and enjoyed every minute. Service also great. Loved it

Good food, but too noisy and too hot. Our request to turn down the music so we could hear each other talk was ignored.

We have been to ELDR a number of times, and always there's some problem. Early on, the service was pretty bad; this time, the service was fine and considerate. A couple of times, they told us at the last minute they were out of what we had ordered; not this time. But we have found that the menu when we arrive is nothing like what we saw on the web an hour or so earlier. This time it was pizza night -- and they only had four pizzas available, none with any protein. Not the mortadella one advertised, nor the green garlic one, nor any of the others on the web menu except the plain margherita. I wound up getting the burger (which was pretty good, but not the pizza I had come for). They really have to think about updating the website when they change the menu. We won't be back until we can predict what we will be offered.

Another wonderful meal at ELDR. The service was good, but they were stretched at Sunday brunch. It's very busy. We had a lovely table on the patio, but the inside of this restaurant was a little loud. Subway tiles are a nice look but promote a noisy dining room. Food is SOLID here always.
