Ela Mezze + Spirits is a culinary journey through the diverse tapestry of the Mediterranean, with a welcoming twist that beckons you to explore further. Situated in the vibrant neighborhood of VaHi, Ela takes patrons on a Grand Tour of flavors including charcoal-grilled meats, fresh seafood, spices, regional wines and curated cocktails influenced by travels from Morocco to Greece, Israel, Turkey and back. A testament to the region’s history of trade and cultural exchange, Ela’s offerings result in a sensory mosaic as vast and intricate as the sea itself and the lands surrounding it. Visiting my adult son in Atlanta and we were looking for a last-minute brunch in the Virginia Highland area. Our visit to Ela made our day. The food is delicious--the mezze platter is amazing and the baklava cinnamon roll was one of the best and most surprising pastries I've had in a very long time. The service was excellent. We loved it.

Not the best experience and certainly not the worst dinning experience. This is often the case with new restaurants. Lots to work out and will likely try again once some of the kinks are worked out. Our food came out cold and part of our order was missing. The atmosphere is nice. Seating with a reservation was also interesting. We were held for sometime even though a table for four was empty. We were thinking they were attempting to hold us until a table for two opened up.

First time dining…promptly greeted & seated, friendly & knowledgeable server, food was delicious, delicious cocktail, and a nice after dinner shot as the finale! I will definitely be back!

The hummus trio and pita bread were delicious. Also, the Brussels sprouts were very good. The chicken pieces on the skewers were cold, yet the skewer itself was hot to the touch. The salad was too leafy. I wish they would add some rice dishes or other sides. The menu is very limited.

Great food and exceptional service. We soaked up all the delicious mussel broth with the tasty fries and thoroughly enjoyed the grilled artichoke. Best of all was the lamb skewer with pita. Ela's menu will transport you to Greece, Italy, Turkey etc. Cocktails are interesting and I will happily order the Spice Road again. Our server, Shea, patiently guided us through our choices and added to the pleasure of our meal by her efficiency paired with friendliness. We look forward to a return visit.

The food, cocktails and service were fantastic. The music was great too! The restaurant was modern yet cozy. It was lovely to try a something different in beautiful Virginia Highlands.
