Every time we come to Puerto Rico we give this place a chance. The service was excellent but the food portions continue to shrink every time we come. We also paid $9 for a plate of lettuce with no dressing and $6 for their "complimentary" water... It was magical the first couple of times, but we might look elsewhere in Old San Juan next time...

It was a huge disappointment and unfortunately a bad experience. We made a reservation through Open Table. When we arrived the hostess greeted us and proceeded to tell us that we only have 1.5 hours to eat because they had our table reserved. To me that was very rude. She added that she was going to remind us when we had 30 minutes left. It truly left me speechless. We lived in NYC for 16 years and we never had anyone telling us that. To make things worse when the waiter brought our main course and we took our first bite she did come back to tell us we had 30 minutes left!!! The food was great, our waiter was great but the hostess was just plain rude. I understand that restaurants need to fill up tables but this is not the way to do it. Specially when the food took 1 hour to be served. We bought dessert are a great ice cream shop next to it, Anita’s Gelato.

The service is ok, the waiter forgot my wine order and brought it after I had finished my meal which was disappointing. The food is good but not worth the prices, that being said this a touristy location.

While we were on vacation We dined here in October ‘23 and again last night Aug ‘24 and the differences were outstanding. Would not return if given the opportunity. They seated us upstairs which is an oddly freezing room equipped with 2 oversized AC. After requesting for them to be turned off request was ignored even tho we were only guests upstairs. Wind was so strong it was blowing my hair and making waves in water glass. Wine ordered by glass was old (you can taste that it had been sitting opened for a while) ordered Tempranillo and swapped for Cabernet but it was no better. Shrimp risotto was delicious but presentation degraded. Just dished in bowl very sloppy with no thought to placing the shrimp. Just appeared unappetizing.

Hola. La carne estaba dañada, desde que la trajeron a la mesa tenía mal olor. En la noche estuve muy enferma con vòmitos. El restaurante con olor a humedad, los vasos sucios y los meseros se comen los restos de comida. Tan pronto retiran los sobrantes de la mesa , los meseros se tragan los sobrantes sin disimulo. Una experiencia horrible .

Quaint spot on the corner. Close to Montecristo lunge, a plus if you want an amazing cocktail and a cigar. The food was ok, nothing to rave about. The service was amazing.

Totally delicious, generous portions. Fantastic steak. A wonderful and accommodating team. A gem in Old San Juan worth a visit. Gorgeous, historic building. Come hungry with room for every course. Read the story of the restaurant on the menu while you’re there.
