Was not very impressed on our last visit. It was 6pm on a Saturday, but the service was quite awful. I imagine they are understaffed so I don't blame the server. We never got any chips or salsa which I think is included, but I could be wrong. The margarita was quite good and was the highlight of the night. We ordered 4 kids meals and never got any dessert. The taco was dry and flavourless, just meat and onion; no salsa, pico or guac to put on it. I'm not sure if there was a salsa bar or if they are suppose to bring something but nothing came. Waters didn't come until we were almost done with our meal. We don't got out very often and it was just an all round disappointing experience. There was also a 4% surcharge which was probably somewhere in small print and I missed it, I was hoping the junk fees act (sb478) would take care of these hidden charges but they're still around. Had a $50 off coupon with in-kind app and still feel like it was poor value.

El Torito Northridge has the best margaritas please come try the black diamond margarita it’s the smoothest margarita we had. My favorite plate is the sizzling enchiladas. Managers Wendy stopped by to check on us and offered us the best ice cream dessert the Mud pie. It’s huge and the best to share with the family

The food was ok, not bad not great. Our server was absolutely horrible. It was not busy but she was so scattered. We ordered drinks and she forgot the drink for our child. We ordered a kids meal with fries, she told us there are no fries. There are carne asada fries on the menu, so we asked about it, she said I told you there’s no fries. Ok we figured they ran out of fries, it happens. Our child got her food with rice instead of fries. A few minutes later a table next to us gets asada fries brought to their table! By the same server! So we asked her and she said “oh yeah I don’t have a brain today “. Um.. what?? We asked for table side guacamole, she said “I bring you the happy hour guacamole and chips special “ I specifically asked her if it’s made at the table side she said yes. Well it’s not.. because she just brought out a plate of pre-made guacamole to our table. When I asked her about it and said that I would like it made table side and fresh, her answer was “it’s the same”. It was definitely not the same, bland, no jalapeño, clearly NOT made in front of me at our table. The food here is always a hit and miss but the service is always bad. Go to Woodland Hills location, a bit farther but service is always spot on.

From the moment 8 of us were seated in a quiet corner, Diana was wonderful. She gave us a smile, patience, suggestions for our choices. The lunch buffet won! Drinks were great. Thank you, Diana, for allowing us to visit, eat and enjoy our Labor Day lunch, yesterday.

Food was delish my favorite was the slow roasted carnitas you can really taste they are made fresh. We tried the el dueño and the flan is to die for. Manager stoped by to check on us and made us feel at home. We will definitely return.

We came to celebrate our mom’s bday, it was a large group and we were seated right away, fast service, attentive waitress and delicious food.

Todo muy bien la comida y el servicio lo único y punto malo fue la mesa donde estuvimos sentados no llegaba el aire acondicionado y estaba demasiado caliente se necesita unas cortinas para por lo menos no entre mucho calor por esa ventana pero con respecto a la comida y el servicio excelente lo recomiendo y por supuesto que regresaremos de nuevo muchas gracias
