We had a reservation for lunch. When we got there, there was a party of 5 which walked in as we walked in but before us. After about 10 minutes a person showed up to greet patrons and asked them first how many were in the party and then asked us and I mentioned that we had a reservation, That party (who did not have a reservation) was seated before us!! After that we waited another 20 minutes to be seated! I know they were busy but what is the purpose of making a reservation????? When we finally were seated, all of a sudden a party of about 30 people went for the buffet which meant another 20+ minutes to get food. when I mentioned our frustration I was told that they (the 30 people) had a reservation.... HELLO.... SO DID WE!!!!!

Unfortunately, this location has gone downhill in a major way. The food was definitely NOT acceptable. I hosted a Holiday luncheon for 8 people - ordered the combo fajitas, all who ordered these got a 3 oz piece of gristled steak, which looked as though it was cut with the dullest butter knife in existence. I complained to the manager that this was simply unacceptable - considering the price of the dish. He agreed to give me another serving. When it came out - it looked as though it was cooked from frozen. Grey, cut with a dull butter knife, and simply unappetizing. I will not be returning.

I had a reservation with my girlfriend at 5:45 PM. She asked for her burger well done there was pink in it, and she made sure to tell the server ahead of time how she wanted her burger. They sat us by the door. The servers must’ve opened the door like 30 times and it was extremely cold. There was a party of 10 sitting next to us laughing like hyenas the whole time. I could not hear my girlfriend talk or even hear myself think. There’s no personal space in this restaurant. Save your time and money and head to the El Torito in San Leandro.

12/11/2024: location had plenty of parking space. During this hour restaurant was empty and not too many people present. Table was seated just myself. The server was friendly, and spoken in well manner English. Order came out quickly and was tasteful. No issues or concerns. I had enjoyed this dine in reservation tho I had been just myself. I will definitely come back again.-Christina

It’s more on the Americanized style of Mexican food but still good. Service is pretty good at this location and the restaurant is fun and lively on the weekends. One thing tho is that the bathroom was totally out of toilet paper and there were a lot of toilet liners all over the floor. This was towards the end of lunch, but periodically doing a quick cleaning and check would make a difference in this regard.

El Torito does a great job! Their service is excellent, the servers are gracious, the food is delicious, they really know how to do a buffet. I think we may make it a tradition to go there for Thanksgiving! It was so good I dug in and forgot to take pictures 😩

Quality of food was overall very good. Everything was delicious. My only complaint was they did not refill the turkey platter, salad bar and dessert table as often as they should have.

I meet my daughters and friend every year for Thanksgiving brunch at El Torito's in Milpitas. We almost always get great service. This year the restaurant staff did an excellent job serving us. The waitress was on top of keeping our water glasses filled and our table supplied with napkins. They made us feel welcomed and they took great care of us while we were there.
